There is no bicycle smiley!!! Well...except for :jollywell:

I have no time to make one (I do, but it's a rabbit hole of time...)

I will do the toxx thingy such that I will pay for the most awesome one or get banned but we gotta have some voting thing right? This is a democracy! I can afford $30!!!

So uhhh...I'm taking submissions.

Post em if you got em!

Ideally it's "all inclusive" you know? If it's a road-centric smiley, that's not fair. We also have people who like to eBike!

First thought: 2 SMUG 2 FURIOUS CURIOUS variation of the import tuner smiley, with a variety of bicycle types riding by. :rice:

And then I think I need to make a new thread afterwards with a poll for voting and we can vote but I still get to pick my favorite if I strongly disagree! But hopefully my views align with the greater population of goon cyclists. No need to make everyone irate as hell.

Okay. I hope this works!

Let's presume the submission window closes at the end of this Saturday!

Your entry has to meet the physical size and file size requirements for a smiley otherwise it won't count!

Also consider making it gender neutral or even lady-centric. There is too much testosterone in here!

Sure! But it's gonna need to be properly formatted and compressed to be counted as an entry!

Boom. This is cool and rad and has my wholehearted support. I'll see if I can whip up a potential entry.

WTF where are the submissions!?!?

I made one based on kimbo305's entry...

But I didn't try to downsize it yet because I don't think I understand what the height x width restrictions actually are...

I believe the 90x25 is width by height. Generally the admins have expressed a dislike for smilies that exceed the height limits since it tends to break the spacing between the lines of text or some dumb nerdy technobabble bullshit like that.

However, if the thread agrees on a smilie, I'll bring it up to the admins and ask anyways. Whats the worst that can happen, they say no? :v:

We could pan the image from bottom to top. But it still has to fit into 10k as a gif.

e: hunh, it's 30kB now.

Testing:

Looks good on light background, but not mobile dark mode. Front tire needs some highlights or something.

Dang I mean I could downsize it further so there's no scrolling needed. Kinda bums me out :smith: But yeah I'll adjust the fork legs a bit so they stand out more.

Do the changes to make you want to make the front tire stand out more and I'll ask an admin to do the needful. Like I said, worst they can do is say no.

Okay...how's this?

I support you editing it if you know what works well...I'm no pixel artists :|

Let me know if it still looks kinda poo poo in dark mode.

And yeah if somehow they could allow it to be fullsize without scrolling that'd be awesome.

Ngl, the scrolling one is the best so far in my opinion

I'm using dark mode apparently and #2 looks best to me.

You just go to settings and then theme and switch it to dark mode.

Okay I had a last minute idea which was to add the "get in" grin to the negative man after the pan up....but I'll be damned if I do that myself :negative:

Right! That's why it needs to the "get in" animation.

I tried to take the getin smiley and scale it down in software to fit onto negative man's face, but it's too blurred.
Need to scale it without aliasing, or redraw impressionistically.
Gonna poke into the former.

FLoC is busy but might be able to come in later if our website making is unfruitful.

Ok maybe instead of a get in animation on negative man's face it's just a static get in face that you see after the pan up. I can get down with that too
