Now that E3 is over and we had some time to digest I think it would be interesting to see who goons think came out on top. Unfortunately, Sony was absent and Capcom, Namco, and Square-Enix conferences were...not good, but most would agree that Microsoft and Nintendo at least somewhat delivered. Microsoft showed many quality titles that would be Day 1 Gamepass like Age of Empires 4, Back 4 Blood, and Psychonauts 2. They also announced the entire Yakuza catalog will be on Gamepass (including Yakuza: Like a Dragon) as well as 2020 GOTY Hades. Halo Infinite was fixed and looks up to par with the announcement of free to play multiplayer having potential. Forza Horizon 5 was revealed in a lengthy showcase. And of course Bethesda's Starfield was officially announced, as well as Redfall, and a new great looking snowboarding game called Shredders. It did a lot to sell someone on the console as well as Microsoft's "vision" of a subscription future and show that Microsoft is putting their new acquired studios to work. Nintendo on the otherhand stole the show less with quantity and more of quality. Mostly with the three part combo of Metroid Dread, Shin Megami Tensei V, and Advanced Wars. The former essentially being mythical being in development hell for almost two decades, with the second seemingly being the direct successor to the legendary Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, and the last resurrecting what was thought to be a dead franchise. Outside of this wasn't exactly a snoozefest either with a new Mario Part with online (something fans have been begging about forever) and a new Warioware title. And of course while Breath of the Wild 2 didn't get a firm release date, more of it was revealed and it looked glorious. The conference did a lot to show why holding on or purchasing the soon to be half a decade old system is a wise idea. It has some of the best exclusive titles out there and experiences that are difficult to find anywhere else.
