post the little things in rap or production that you think are really cool

when a police or fire siren is used in the beat, automatically makes the song harder

when the rapper plays off a vocal sample. I've only heard a few people do this, where he does a call and response thing and the sample finishes the line for him

might be obvious but i only realized a couple years ago that every verse in Saturday follows the same exact structure. not sure many rappers could make this work as well as luda does

The end of One by Ghostface is my fav instance of this, where you can tell they're just ad-libbing in the studio and riffing off of the vocal sample. It's neat.

the whole "bouncing your rhyme off a vocal sample" thing reminded me of DJ Format, who would do like whole cut n paste tracks of rap vocal drops that would rhyme with each other like verses, and did something similar trading "vocals" with a rapper when he had one on his tracks:

one of my favorite DOOM tracks just for the combo of a beatbox loop and rhyming off the super! sample like 10 times

clipping is basically cheating for how crazy their production is but these two are notable for their little details

using bees buzzing in a song full of Candyman references

just insane panning tricks to make it sound like you're walking down the street with cars driving by
