twitter is a nexus for artists and a lot of them make their livelyhood through it, it's going to be a really hard time for them when twitter bites it

I think everyone I know who was working there is either now fired or quit, so I'm pretty indifferent at this point

twitter is pretty good for hockey stuff and it would kind of suck if that went away.

i hate twitter the least of all social media and it actually has some interesting stuff and some decent people will be negatively affected by its implosion

however there's jack poo poo i can do about that so i'll just enjoy the Content this whole thing has been generating instead of worrying about things i have exactly zero control over

in conclusion it is what it is and i hope musk gets incinerated by a tesla

It's okay if you have any questions.

I had a pretty good feed going before Elon took over and I would've been sad if it had died right away. But over the past couple months a lot of people have left and the appeal's just not there any more.

twitter almost certainly had and continues to have more people than it should need, but the problem is they went in on microservices and growth which leads to spaghetti code where you need like 10x the people to maintain it. if they had approached it with a more traditional design they probably wouldnt be able to add features that nobody uses every 5 minutes, but they'd need way less staff and it would probably perform a lot better.

should have written it as a single project asp.net app with a sql server backend (no javascript, obv). if they need redundancy they could have run 2 in an ag

i am p sad about it already it was a good spot for me to find communities and keep in touch w a lot of people without needing a group chat

i will also miss all the jokes and art (music comics photography etc) that i basically got exposed to for free by knowing people
