Don’t know if that’s the right terminology but those ads or whatever back in the early days of the internet that said they’d pay you for clicking links or whatever . I never installed any of them. did anyone here actually make money with those and if so how did it work

Microsoft Rewards was basically this concept brought into the current browser/search engine wars - use our poo poo and get enough company scrip to fund GamePass or save up and buy a new controller.

Mostly through CPA (Cost Per Action) affiliate programs. I would get paid a few bucks every time a person would sign up using their email address to the website I was linking to. It was the easiest money I've ever made in my life because the whole thing was fully automated. I would log in a bunch of bots with a click of a start button and they would enter chats and spam the links. I miss those days. :(
