How Wonderful!: I only have excellent ideas

I used to work at this chamber music festival and I had a little office in the basement of a big concert hall. I was often the last person in there, keeping the books after evening concerts, and a lot of the instruments were stored down there right outside there. So often after locking up I'd be a little sneaky and play the harpsichord, figuring out songs and chords and just pressing keys. Playing a harpsichord is really fun and feels amazing. Pressing the keys isn't really the same feel as pressing a piano key because instead of just causing a hammer to strike a string, you're making this tiny little nib or something to PLUCK a string-- when you play a key, you feel this tiny momentum of resistance or tension and then a sudden almost like POP. It's really something else. I obviously don't have a harpischord at home but when I feel foggy or tired or stressed I imagine playing harpsichord as intensely and with as much focus as I can. It doesn't really matter what-- usually just playing like, a C over and over and over or something.
