That's odd, Hamdudgeon was cross-referenced near the top of pg. 18. Presumably a word for arse or thigh. Beer leg is an old surveying term for when you set up a tripod with a leg in the path of a measuring chain. (And you buy the beer that night) Whiskey leg supposedly an older variant. Just thought I'd see how obscure they went.
