That's when he began to suggest being a regular on the show. He just loves the fact that he's on TV and getting to talk about Korrendians. I'm sure on some level there's still a naivete on his part, but he definitely knows we're not being malicious or anything. He's just a nice guy with a LOT of quirks. And an awful puppeteer, but that's why we love him.

A few of you were asking about various celebrities/comedians, and I just wanted to put focus on the two that were probably my favorite: Weird Al and Will Forte. I had the privilege of meeting Weird Al when we were shooting "Here She Comes", with all the old women being escorted by Al down the aisle of a church toward a creepy looking Tim and Eric. Typical. The church itself is noteworthy, in that it's actually the same one that Seventh Heaven shoots in. From the moment he arrived, Al was infinitely patient and kind, and even when other actors or crew members asked him questions that he had to have heard a million times before, he was more than gracious, and answered them with genuine enthusiasm. Now, Al isn't quite as 'weird' in person as he portrays himself in the media, but when something happened to get him laughing it really set him off! As soon as we got to the part of the sketch where we needed him to dance he absolutely lost it. If you watch his face you can see that he's totally into it, and I wish I could show you take after take of other versions of the dance. Will Forte is nothing short of amazing. For those of you who may not recognize him, he was the mattress salesmen with the gory nightmare. Awesome. Planning for the nightmare part of the sketch was huge, trying to figure out how we were going to turn our studio into a bloody, dark mess, while making it look professional and amateurish at the same time. I can't tell you how many options we explored for the exploding head. Do we buy a mannequin head and fill it with rabbit livers? Do we use paper mache? What shade of red will show best on camera? We considered everything. Finally we found two guys that had a bunch of their own destructible corpses, and when we threw a wig and mustache on the guy we had a winner. I was in the office for the first half of the day, getting the studio ready to be gory while everyone else shot the mattress store. Finally returning, everyone started lugging up the equipment, and what really impressed me was that not only was Will helping out, but he actually stopped by my desk, introduced himself and chatted with me for a few minutes. Nicest guy in the world! After a little more prep they began the nightmare shoot. I was in the office working on a few things and every other minute the entire building could hear "Murrrrrder meeeee!" A maniacal laugh. Some kind of splat sound. Tim or Eric shouting "Cut". And then an eruption of laughter. Every few minutes Will would wander out covered in blood and we'd give him a replacement shirt, then he'd go back in, rip someone's arm off, drink the blood and get some more laughs. It was one of my favorite shoots, outside of the clean-up. There was blood ALL OVER the ceiling from the head explosion. I chatted one more time with Will before he left, and got the chance to tell him how much I enjoyed his work on SNL and that one of his characters in particular was my absolute favorite. And you know, he seemed genuinely touched by it! He was just so humble and appreciative that I enjoyed his work. That's why Will Forte is awesome.

Yeah they made those other ones after I posted. They've also adjusted their website and Myspace to be Shrek 3 themed. It's so awesomely over the top. A perfect example of the type of humor and dedication to a joke that makes Tim and Eric so unique. The best part is some of the youtube comments where people think that Tim and Eric are really doing commercials for Shrek 3.

Well that is loving awesome. The David Liebe Hart one was especially great. I'm glad to see them making fun of Shrek, because I loving hate those movies. I adore this show, and everything they've ever done. It's not for everyone, but God does it do it for me. Also, RE: Shrek. I got worried at first, but seeing them ad nauseum (as well as how they present the videos online) has allowed me to see that loving awesome joke they have going.

Tim & Eric just called into Human Giant 24 saying they couldn't go be on the marathon with the Human Giant guys because they had tickets for Shrek 3 and they spent the early part of their day getting their Shrek face paint and costumes on.

As for why they're doing it: because it's funny. Tim and Eric have always just done stupid stuff because they find it entertaining. There's no diabolical scheme for publicity, it's just because it's hilarious.

From the myspace:quote:mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... hmmmm.... kinda reminds me of the southpark guys, they said and I paraphrase because I don't feel like googling the exact quote but they said 'after southpark got big people told us we were sellouts which isn't true, we were always sellouts!' and I don't know how much mike meyers paid you or maybe he simply asked nicely or something, but the news pages are saying that shrek3 is not funny and worse than the last one and even the donkey is too polite and it lost it's kick or whatever and I don't buy what critics say hey lucas said spiderman3 was no starwars and basically said there was no story there and yet I saw spiderman3 tonight so I don't care what critics say but (and yeah lucas was right), from a family perspective I can see you watching shrek3 no prob, but from a non-family perspective I'd say try to avoid it because you'll feel like you wasted your money, and if you're on a date the crappy movie will turn the date crappy and well I saw shrek2 twice and I didn't like it the first time but a girl invited me for the 2nd and when I actually heard the dialogue the 2nd time I realised that hey... this is the worst movie I've ever seen, poorly written, but if you want to entertain your mindless little ones who care not for dialogue then go ahead and watch it.
