I've got a song stuck in my head, which is from a source of electronic music. Possible candidates are video game music, some form of techno/trance/whatever, or possibly rap since they borrow a lot from electronic music. Anyway, all I know is the melody, which I've tried to recreate in the following MIDI file as best I could from memory (I don't have perfect pitch, so it's probably not exact).

http://midishrine.com/midi/20164.mid

If someone can identify it, it would be very much appreciated.

My girlfriend and I were watching some cool music videos earlier and she came up with two descriptions that I couldn't identify - so let's see what you guys can do with them:

1) A tall, muscular guy with dark hair, tattoos and gauged ears is sitting with his legs crossed is sketching a caricature or portrait. He also might have been turning into a drawing.

2) A girl in her 20s is walking around in an old building singing. At one point she's sitting in the windowsill singing. She might have had on glasses, too. The song is apparently calm and not very upbeat. We think it came out around the late 90s.

Not much to go on, but maybe somebody knows what they are.

Do be advised that sitting parked outside their homes with binoculars, raw meat, and a jar of Vaseline is not truly considered "a date."
I remember a song that was played frequently on the radio when i was backpacking in Thailand in 2006, it sounded like pretty typical American rock (Weezer, Phantom Planet, Steadman, Vonray etc.)

I only have a vauge memory of the songtext, it was pretty upbeat, something like "she takes of her skirt and they yeaahh"

I have googled endless versions of it without finding anything, does anyone have any suggestions as to what band or song it might have been?

I was watching "Click", a BBC gadget show the other week and they previewed CES with an excellent rock tune...

The track was indie music, tyhe lead singer was a girl and I can remember the following lyrics:

I don't care if it's bad,
I don't care if it's shallow,
wherever you go,
I will follow

One other line I remember is:

I'm like a big black spaceship,
in a big blackhole

and the chorus was basically "I wanna... wooohoooo"

I haev tried loving everything, including an email to the BBC to find this song and the band. If anyone could help me identify it I will love you forever, it's driving me nuts.

The snippet of song is here, pretty bad quality but can hear the song and that is what counts. May have to turn the volume up. (This is legal right because it is only a small sample of the song?)

My country-lovin' co-worker knew the song country song I posted earlier. It's "Mayberry", by Rascal Flatts.

This is what I was thinking of:

quote:

(Well) I miss Mayberry
Sitting on the porch drinking
Ice cold Cherry Coke
Where everything is black and white
Picking on a six string
Where people pass by and you call
Them by their first name
Watching the clouds roll by
Bye, bye

Sometimes I dream I'm driving
Down an old dirt road
Not even listed on a map
I pass a dad and son carrying a
Fishing pole
But I always wake up every time I try
To turn back

This is going to be really vague, but I just heard a snippet of this song and I couldn't hear the lyrics very well. It sounded like an indie rock song, and the only thing I got was some kind of repeated chorus like:
"I wanna hear your sunrise"

I heard this in a Heritage 1981 store today, and I can't find it from any search of that lyric.

It wasn't that arctic monkeys song, but thanks for the guess.

I want to say that it had maybe an electronic melody line in it somewhere? I'm realizing that the line probably wasn't "I wanna hear your sunrise" now because I can't find it with a search on those lyrics. But I think it would have to somehow sound pretty close to it. The line was sung over and over near the end of the song, and there might have been a group of people singing it, not just the lead singer.

I am looking for several songs actually. Can someone please recommend songs similar to "Eye of the Tiger", Don't Stop Believing" and "America F*** Yeah"?

I know it seems like an odd request, but I am searching for songs with the same kind of tone and feeling as these. Eye of the Tiger is a uplifting type rock song, Don't Stop Believing is great, and America F*** Yeah is "get pumped" kind of song.

This is really convoluted by I'm looking for a song that samples Shake by the Ying Yang Twins, and it samples another song with a bopping saxophone line. So it has some guys shouting Mentiosa over some sax.

I'm trying to figure out what song the sax is from, so if anyone knows the remix i'm talking about or the song with the original sample I'd apreciate it.

Yeah, I know that song, I was hoping I could hear the saxophone part, though.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and just take a guess. A certain sax part seems to be really popular right now. Is it the same sax part from these two songs?

im just gonna take a wild guess and say that there's a chance the sax is lifted 'T.R.O.Y.' by Pete Rock and CL Smooth since it's a real 'upbeat sax part and the fact that it sits by itself at the beginning of the song means it's a perennial favorite for DJ's to mix in to other tracks

There's a new song out with a bunch of different rappers, mostly from Houston (Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, I think Lil' Flip is on it, some others), the hook is pretty repetitive, something about getting work, and that's about all I've got.

I was working in a huge convention center, setting up for the Houston Boat Show a couple weeks ago, and someone was playing it on one of the boat radios. Sorry I can't give a better description, if you guys can't help me I understand.

Possibly, but I don't think he included some of the words. I think you can hear the movie track switch back to the actual song track in the movie. They seem to be in a different key.

The only words I remember hearing in the song during the movie were during the first few seconds of the song, ending with "well you go to hell!"
