This throws off CL's spam filters, if I understand it correctly. CL will not let you post the same ad in more than one section. If you check electronics you'll probably see the same ad with different garbage text.

I was looking for a replacement car for my Miata a week ago, and came across a 2000 MR2 for 6400.

Here's the latest ad: http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/546893678.html

quote:

New Engine at 70k (dealer forgot to refil with oil)

But this ad says something different (15 Jan): http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/540435531.html

quote:

New Engine at 60k (dealer forgot to refil with oil)

And the original ad said new engine at 100k.

CARFAX came up with a couple of gems too:

quote:

05/01/2004 - Accident reported in Wake County Involving a left rear impact with another motor vehicle Very minor damage reported

08/17/2004 - Accident reported in Wake County Involving right front impact with another motor vehicle Minor/Moderate damage reported

03/06/2007 - Failed emissions inspection

What a steal. :suicide:

OMG....where to begin...

I'd say with the stripes on the side...what is with that weird angle at the front. In the pictures, it initially looks like he has some ill-fitting body kit on the thing.

And in the rear it looks like he actually does.

And the speakers...W...T...F.

This is obviously a very personalized vehicle. Maybe he doesn't realize that the market for this car only ever consisted of one individual.

I've heard of people installing weighted shift knobs for faster shifts (more mass=easier to get into gear), but they also make it easier to damage the transmission by forcing it into a gear that it doesn't want to go into.
Given the condition (and tyte modzz) of that car, I wouldn't be surprised if the owner has managed to destroy most of the gears by now.

It's got a nice wheelskins leather cover for the steering wheel, though. I have to say that improves the overall look of the car. Somehow.

To be fair, all the scratches are around the engine lid, with the lid remaining in perfect condition.
