8o' Chevy Camaro with a (put the year sign in front of the year...let me show you fella '73, not 73' as you had it, now there isn't that easy?!) 73' pontiac 455 engine. It has a 8 1/2" rear end with possie (it's posi, not possie) chuck (and it's chunk, not some guys name like chuck). Two year old 3" flow master (Flowmaster is one word there bubba) dual exust (exhaust, not exust, at least you didn't spell dual "duel" like so many of your redneck buddies) . Engine has a mild cam with headers. Edelbrock carb. ( 750 ). Elec. fans and 9mm excel wires. I also have a roll of interior carpet (Home Depot commerical I suspect) and some small misc. parts for the car. Needs some TLC (NO KIDDING!), BUT RUNS GREAT (I doubt it)!!!Please call Kevin (Bubba) at 352-481-5490.3,500.00 or OBO!( How about free...or better yet, you pay me and I'll get rid of it for you!)

Sorry :(

Yes I'd totally buy that Camaro for the motor if nothing else, but not $3500, no, $1200, $1500 maybe, heck $1800 could be an option if I looked at it and found the motor to really be in really top notch shape. Big block 455's are never a bad thing to have if they run.

gently caress no, that's cool in a "this is awesome" kind of way. It's practically a motorcycle powered go-cart. It's not nearly as cool as the hayabusa engine Mini, but for a cheap conversion I think it kicks rear end.

It struggles to just move the car, period. I'm sure that it's hard to move 2000lbs with 100 hp and 30 lbs/ft of torque.

I'd guess 1600-1700. Metros of that vintage are around 1800 fully loaded. Still, it's a lot more weight than that poor 600cc engine was designed to pull.

Reminds me of the early 70s Honda hatchbacks which used chain drive instead of gears for drive.

They probably did that on purpose because the car does 0-60 as fast as an F-150. :haw:

I think that's a really cool idea, but it would be better if they made it RWD like the Mini and if they used a ZX-14R or a 'Busa engine in it for more torque. I just view it as this - if you're going to put that much work into it, why don't you go all-out? I can't imagine it would be terribly hard to set up the same drivetrain they have in the rear.

There's cool because it's fast, there is cool because it's rare (or expensive, or exotic) and then there is cool because "IT IS", this car is the latter.

I'd drive it and just bang on it like a $2 whore, and laugh my rear end off the whole time, I'm talking poo poo eating grin. Who cares how slow or stupid it is. Just having chain drive is enough to make it quirky enough to have some redeeming qualities.

And hell I've spent that kinda cash on a "good computer" before, and that computer (or those computers) didn't give me near as much fun as that car would.

Definitely Craigslist gold I'd say.

For the ultimate in "holy poo poo you did what?" awesome, put a 2nd motor in the rear, and have it drive the rear tires, bonus points for using a completely different motor from a totally different bike. Chain drive isn't optional of course, it's absolutely REQUIRED in the rear too.

Up for sale is a 1996 Lexus SC 300 5 Speed. The exterior is white diamond pearl and the interior is tan. This car is completely original and is in pristine collector car condition with only 52K miles. In an effort to streamline my life in tandem with the increased demands for my time, it is time to let it go to a good home. This particular car was a special order and was a gift for my high school graduation. I believe there were only 212 made and I am for certain that 1997 was the last year of the 5 Speed. The fluids were changed a few years back along with a battery and a new set of Good Year tires. The only thing that I am aware of that does not work is the CD changer in the trunk. The silly thing never worked since day one and I never went back to have it looked at, as I never had a need to use it. If your intentions are to buy the car and operate it in a manner that I would deem inappropriate, please do not bother to inquire within. This is a special car and will be sold to someone who appreciates this vehicle for the mastery of art that it truly is. Thank you for your interest.

I'm glad you picked that up, because I didn't. I was picturing someone taking the cab off a Toyota pickup and discarding it because it was clearly in the way of letting them move things around with the truck. I was picturing that and slowly getting all sorts of absurd images in my head as to what they needed to move and how they were going to do it. Then my head exploded.
