Sadly, I imagine just from the look of it it's been pretty ragged out mechanically. Of course, I have no proof of that, but it seems that around here, people rice out their cars, put fart cans on then then drive the dogshit out of them, as though LOOKING like a supercharged sports car is the same as having a real supercharged sportscar.

Otherwise it may not cost TOO much to take that thing and UN-molest it... but given it's a 92, I would be surprised if it wasn't on it's last leg mechanically.

Expect to pay over 10 grand for a decent one because of doriftu.

The only reason that one is so high is because it has 200,000 km, unheard of for a Japanese car. Its over double the average.

I have always babied this car and I've always made sure the maintainance was fully on top of. 100% Rust free, garage kept.

Excellent. This vehicle was obviously garaged kept. The paint is shinny and glossy, overall in great condition.
MINT CONDITION - Every part of the interior in this beautiful Mini is in excellent condition as you can see in all the pictures. There is very little wear showing on the leather upholstery, carpeting, headliner, dash or steering wheel. This vehicle obviously has been very well cared for and garaged kept. One owner perfect MINT condition you will not find any car like this one.

Make me an offer I can't resist at: jshfree641@aol.com

CarFax searches its a nationwide database and provides a detailed vehicle history report in seconds.

Right away you can tell this is either an obvious scam, or some kind of idiot. They've all been flagged for removal, but here's a Google search showing how many there are:

http://www.google.com/search?q=jshfree641%40aol.com&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&start=0&sa=N

I emailed the guy mostly because I was bored, and he replied:

quote:

Hello,

The car is located in Atlanta, GA and it is in perfect condition, with no need for additional repairs, no scratches, dings, special marks whatsoever. It has 28,428 miles and the VIN # is : WMWRE33505TL10749 . It has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name. You can see more pictures by click on the link below :

http://www.fototime.com/users/nlywood@aol.com/

This car needs nothing, the title is clear, it is not a salvage one. I want this transaction to go smoothly enough as I am caught in the middle of some very important events and have little time at my disposal. I already have tons of emails so I hope you understand that I need to sort them out.

The price is $2,900 THIS IS MY LAST PRICE. I will not negotiate the price. I will take in consideration only those buyers who are really interested in buying the car, to be sure that I don't waste my time with endless discussions. This way, I shall be assured of the serious intentions.

So if you are interested please email me back so we can move forward,

Josh Free

Holy poo poo I completely missed that, I just looked at the pictures.

That's an insane idea on 2 fronts. You got 2 types of H1 owners.

1. Dick Enhancement | Status Symbol dudes wouldn't be caught in an a replica kit or fake [insert H2 joke here]. When these rare birds are caught in the wild, it's usually with the girlfriend pushing branches out of the way so the truck doesn't get scratched.

2. Utility | Offroad use with cargo/towing capacity. The donor vehicle doesn't have a 12,000 lb/17,000 GVW/GCWR, not to mention having issues with ground clearance, slope, and departure/approach angles.

I guess the exception would be #1 with no money or low budget, they'd probably buy something like this. Besides where is the country that makes custom jeep taxis? Singapore? I've seen some microhummers there before.

Bad business idea, but it is certainly unique and unlike many other kit's, it's actually drivable. Besides you can get a project HMMWV for 15k, and a early model year H1 or working m998 for about 20k that needs a bit of TLC.
