slidebite posted:Decent on gas! compared to a 747 I got curious. According to http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_fuel_consumption_of_a_boeing_747 a 747 gets roughly http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=17+liters+per+kilometer+in+gallons+per+mile 7 mpg. If you divide that between the 4-500 passengers, it's quite good. Hell, I dunno, maybe that beats a big thirsty truck outright.

if you're on-ramping that truck you're probably only getting 1-2 mpg. Oh, and also add in the cost of those sweet Dodge quality Tranny's

Maybe to this guy, only the seats are considered as part of the interior. The aftermarket steering wheel, big-rear end boost gauge and ugly shift boot are just "accessories." But I have to admit, this would've been one bad-rear end street machine if it weren't for that huge and ugly cowl.

The LSx motor would probably be one of the best options, since its likely similar in weight to one of the normal iron-blocked B6 Mazda engines, which aren't really that light. I picked one up once, just once. The 5.0 is cheap and makes good power, but its probably a lot heavier, not to mention most gearboxes that can reliably take the power of a V8 weigh a lot more than a Miata transmission.
