Not quite it, actually the chorus to that is VERY similar to what I'm thinking of, but the one I'm looking for was like alternative rock

Ha ha ha ha. You're really weird.
I've been looking for this song for a while. It's probably a mid/late 80s song in the same class as The Dead Milkmen or Suicidal Tendencies (think Institutionalized but less angry, more fake nonchalant). Mostly spoken/yelled.

Lyrics that I remember:

I don't mind if you mispronounce my name
It's just fine because I love you just the same.
I don't care if you're unfaithful
I'm just fine alone.
I don't mind.

ps. It's not Bourgeois Tagg, they are way too melodic. I found a yahoo answers question on it last year some time... he didn't get any answers either, but did boost my lyrics count.

Any help?

Sounds like "You Spin Me Round" by Dead or Alive

No, it's not all all. I just remember the rhythm of it and the big bass drum hit at the begining of each phrase. I had forgotten about the slide guitar parts since I hadn't heard it in a while. After I found the commercial I felt REALLY retarded in my description.

Still not it, I would say the singer sounds kinda like the guy from the Hives, it may even be them.

EDIT: Found it, You Dress Up For Armageddon by the Hives.

I think it might be a Black Keys song. I just tried to play it from memory- I'm not 100 percent on it but the intro is correct and the rest is roughly similar to what I remember.

I played Theme Hospital, a 1997 game, when I was about 7 or 8. The part that I seem to remember the best is the intro theme tune, because I just heard a marching band play it on TV and I think it's the same song... at any rate, it's pretty close.

The song is in this video. Someone said it might be a jazz standard, and I'm inclined to agree, since I've also heard, for instance, the same big band track in several different places before.

Something John Williams did for Star Wars? That's a guess based on something in the page source. This YouTube link backs it up, but I'm ignorant in the ways of Star Wars so I very well could be missing some huge joke.

I'm almost positive the guy singing is Eddie Vedder, and the main chorus has this drawn out, dramatic guitar playing.

I think it might be a recent single, maybe some sort of collaboration with a guitarist? I heard it on the most commercialized rock station we've got locally, so it's not going to be obscure at all, but can't figure out what the song is. Been wiki-ing and youtubing for too long, help me out.

Could be an older song, but I think I've heard it on the radio a few times and it sounds like it was produced recently.

Eddie Vedder did a cover last year of "Love Reign O'er Me" by the Who, which might explain why it's a song you remember being older but had a newer, Vedder-esque sound to it. It was on the soundtrack to that Adam Sandler movie, I think, but I can't remember which one.

I've been trying to find this song for ages.

the song is called Screaming Phone Calls. I believe the artist is Edit. Or something that sounds similar to that.

It's a glitch electronica song. If anyone can find me the artists website or a link to that song that would be much appreciated.

I heard this song a while back, and whilst watching Family Guy tonight i can't get it out of my head but can't for the life of me remember what it's called or any of the lyrics.

It's basically a list, similar to Billy Joel's 'We didn't start the fire' and the lyrics are sung really fast. I think it also contains historical references. In the Family Guy episode Peter was singing it in the car before he got paralysed in the episode where he grows a moustache.

Thanks
