I met a guy last night wearing a Have Heart hoodie who looked disgusted when I said that "Songs To Scream At The Sun" was a fantastic album. I don't think I like that fellow :colbert:

tbqh, I was pretty disappointed with Songs To Scream At The Sun. It's a good album no doubt, but it's just not the Have Heart I wanna hear when I wanna listen to Have Heart. There's only 3-4 songs on the whole album that I really like.

I guess if I wanted to listen to Miles Away I'd listen to Miles Away v:shobon:v

Pornhub. XTube. I know these names, better than I know my own grandmothers.
Since a lot of people are talking about the Have Heart/Blacklisted/Ceremony/Let Down tour. They came through Syracuse last night and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the "Corruption and Faggots All Around Me" Zine that seems to have been making its rounds?

GREG IS BIG NOW

Since I haven't seen it posted, Blake Schwarzenbach and Aaron Cometbus started a new band called the Thorns of Life with Daniela Sea, best known for being on the L Word. They just played a show last week. There are videos.

I saw Flatfoot 56 play the other night. They were touring with the Toasters, and my friends were opening that night, so I saw them at a local ska show.
Holy. loving. Jesus.
I'm not a fan of their music but wow that was an intense show. Couple walls of death, near constant pits, and I hadn't realized before that you're not truly living until you're moshing to Amazing Grace, complete with bagpipes

I used to be way into Oi, but I'm kind of over it now. I'll listen to Cock Sparrer now and then, but not out of any huge desire to do it.

Also, against my better judgment, I've decided to get tickets to the Murphys show tomorrow night for one last go. I hope it doesn't suck.

That band is horrible. Worst moment of my night during the last New Found Glory tour was when A Day to Remember walked on stage. Best moment was when they stepped off. Well, I lied it was the Suicide File cover of Ashcroft that Four Year Strong does. Despite what I've heard some people say about the cover, its a good cover of an amazing song. Pretty bummed that show was in a college town at a lovely venue. And thats the end of my off topic tangent.

As you might have noticed, I just got here... sorry if this has been covered:

Failures.
Self-titled LP.
Best punk super-group. Like, ever (Project X excluded).
Seriously, I can't get enough of this LP. From the first seconds of Mark McCoy (ex-Charles Bronson/Das Oath/Holy Molar for the healthy and unobsessed) screaming "Failures!" to the last seconds of 'Fill In', the album is just A+ all around. I had been waiting for this to drop ever since they played at my college last February. Their amazing live, though Aerosols managed to blow them out of the water...

Extortion/Iron Lung are apparently on tour, so go see these loving bands.

Extortion is how hardcore should sound, the epitome of fast/loud/short: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=35301462

and Iron Lung is one of the best powerviolence acts around, Sexless/No Sex is an absolutely devastating album: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=134687646

I saw them a couple of years ago and they were a lot of fun. Everyone went ballistic when they played Pool Party.

I also met the drummer from the Lillingtons who was playing for the Eyeliners, only I didn't realize he used to be in the Lillingtons until after I left the show. That was probably for the best, because I probably would have come off as a creepy, excited fan boy to him.

I've heard OF Dangers, and I listen to the electro-artist Danger a lot (what's the deal with hardcore bands sharing names with electro bands... what if Justice had toured with Justice...).
I'll definitely give them a shot, if they are anywhere near as good as Failures...
