advion posted:What desk(s) is(are) that(those) Built 'm myself with a little help from dad, using parts from the local hardware store. I used to have 3 of these - 2 smaller ones with each 4 legs, the big one's got 6 so it won't bend. The monitors rest on a tubular frame (again, thanks dad) which is bolted to the bottom of the desk, so only 4 carriage bolt heads stick out. My controller keyboard covers 'm anyway. Cmdr Will Riker posted:Not to derail, but I have been looking for a better place to keep my keyboards and I am interested in that setup you have there. Problem is I have two gigantic, heavy bastards (MOTIF 8 and a Rhodes 73) and a small, heavy bastard (Minimoog Voyager). How much weight does that hold, and will it do 88-key (for the MOTIF) and tall/deep as hell (for the Rhodes) keyboards? It probably won't hold the Rhodes, and it'll hold the Motif on the bottom tier only because that one's double. See http://www.jaspers-alu.de/eng/keyboards.html - I've got the 4D-120. The heaviest synth is the Juno-60 (30 lbs / 14 kg) and it rests on the bottom tier. It might be a better idea to put the Mini on top of the Rhodes (covering the top with a towel) and put the Motif in a 90° angle, unless your setup looks like that now already .

I'm tempted to steal the G15 off my boss' desk, since he's gone out in the field most of the time now anyway. Except that it's bluetooth.

I used to have a really small desk, so I needed a trackball mouse. Hell, for the longest time the only place I could store my tablet was on the side of my computer. With velcro. edit: Unless you're referring to the discolouration, which I don't get. The old ones never used to do that.

Xaalouse posted:How the hell is it that supposed to reduce backpain? I don't even understand how your supposed sit on that. You straddle the thing, sitting on the upper cushion with your knees pressed against the lower cushion, taking a lot of weight and pressure. I find them pretty uncomfortable, too, and it actually makes my posture worse.

I kind of like those, they're fun to sit in, but not much fun getting on/off. I always feel like I'm about to fall flat on my face whenever I untangle my legs from these chairs.
