If anyone's into Trophy Scars, the new record is out and it's great, very different to the older stuff but I really dig it. Anyone in the UK catch GBH on tour?

It's a lot more loud and aggressive-sounding than their first album, and the songwriting is stronger as well. I thought their first album was alright but it has its limp-dick moments, and this album by contrast is the kind that demands your attention throughout the entire thing. To me, anyway

Because the only band I care about at No Way Fest is Government Warning and I like almost every band playing Dude Fest.

Yeah so did I, I dismissed it as first as a boring ballad then listened to it again and The Wonder Years have gone wayy up in my estimations. Defiantly going to see them when they tour the UK in the summer.

3/4 of both saturday and sunday for No Way Fest are good. Dude Fest has American Cheeseburger, Harm's Way, Harvey Milk, Mind Eraser, and Zero Boys. That's it and its not very good. Anyways, I am def going to Chaos in Tejas this year which is the only "fest" that is worth a drat.

I'm on the Quebec side but about 10 minutes from Ottawa, and apart from a few bands bridging the gap between Montreal and Toronto, we rarely get any big shows unless they're Canadian bands. Ottawa has a substantial hardcore scene though, but for the most part it's (usually lovely with a few exceptions) metalcore and youth crew stuff. From what I've seen, anyway.

Well, it looks like Against Me! continues to lose whatever shred of credibility they had, making Plan-It-X stop issuing their Crimes as Forgiven By EP so they can reissue it themselves, except it doesn't have Burn on it. Here's what Chris from PIX has to say:quote:hey. I know it's kind of like a broken record now, but they were one of the first bands I got into whenever they were dropping releases like Crimes and their Vivada Vis demo tape so I still keep up with whatever news is surrounding them.

I'm confused, I looked up the Crime EP and its released on Sabot now (No Idea). Its cheaper than PIX says it sold it for. This sounds perfect, its off a poo poo label like PIX. That's not losing credibility.

I'd say probably dead, but making a comeback soon. Sure bands like Iron Lung and Hatred Surge are still doing stuff but there is not a lot going on right now. The new Mind Eraser stuff is amazing, but not quite as power-violency as it used to be. I think right now most kids are a lot more into other stuff, whether you agree that its good or not, like ceremony, sex vid, and cult ritual. I think when people get tired of starting and listening to myyyyysterious noisy hardcore bands it might make a comeback again. I sure hope so, cause its what i still listen to a ton. I've listened to No Comment - Downsided more than anything else in the world i think. Ps if anyone has a copy of that i'll buy it.
