Well, my interest was piqued so I emailed the seller asking for a cash price. quote:$4599, its a one owner in almost perfect condtion. And it comes with a 6 month warranty with sticker price. I've heard of highballing but...yeah. Even for a perfect (which this one ain't) Paseo that's outrageous. What's more surprising is that NADA lists clean retail for this car at $3350. Since when have old subcompacts commanded this kind of price? I wouldn't pay more than maybe 1500, and even that's pushing it.

Its an untitled vehicle which means it could have some kind of lein against it right? That could explain the somewhat outrageous price. Or does untitled mean something other than what I think it means?
|
# ? May 12, 2009 03:10 |
|
Untitled can mean one of three things: 1) Some previous owner lost the paper title and the current owner bought it that way. It's possible to have the state print a new one but usually a gigantic pain in the rear end. 2) The current owner owes a pile of money on it and doesn't feel like repaying. The lienholder (HSBC/GMAC/your local credit union) is the actual owner of the vehicle, and you won't be able to register it until they are paid off. 3) It's stolen.

It's "Untitled" because it's in the hands of a dealership.

For all the people posting craigslist ads like those, there have to be people buying from those listings.
