That's no further than I drove with a friend of mine (his truck, another friend's trailer) to pick up my $800 280z. Paid nearly 1/2 the cost of the car in gas!

Looks clean outside and in, even if the engine was totally hosed I have a 2.0L SPI in an Escort with a lovely exterior and finding a tranny to go with it wouldn't be too hard. Plus if you were to take the hatch off it'd look like a miniature Ranchero.  Of course I don't have room, time, or money for a project car

At this point you might as well take any clapped out H2 or H4 CRX that's been beat on for season after season of track racing over anything left on the street. Bound to be a better starting bound.
