Ok here comes the disco house ultimate POST:

Rhythm Masters - Oriental Cyber Phunk/Mutator (1999)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojbq5lXMxdQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wGvvjZGHrQ

The Rhythm Masters always had the nastiest percussion, it was really hard and gritty - the compression was super tight, and the whole track gelled really well from a mix standpoint - on top of that, they were expert samplers that knew how to accompany a good sample with on-point percussion. Mutator had some crazy filter stuff going on it that you didn't really hear back in the day, but that track is slamming.

Player - Give It To Me (Joey Beltram Remix), other JB3 tracks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC-ap3trMxk

I always wondered how this would do with the electro kids - JB3's style combined techno with disco, and he did it really well. The Player remix is one of my all-time favorites, and why it wasn't in my Top 25 list I'm not sure. It's an excellent track.

Other Joey Beltram stuff:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOB5nXaM7OE (Joey Beltram - Super Magnetic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpy5umrKS6I (Joey Beltram - In The Ultra Drive)

Essential CZR tracks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6tw9lFcuf0 (The Funk Parlor - Warehouse Muzik)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1p-rmF-r-Y (CZR and Ito - Soiree)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFN3XQSxhCc (CZR and Ito - Bringin The Funk) <-- Essential Chicago House
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwQEvwu17cE (CZR - I Want You)

CZR is one of my favorite disco producers ever - we're not talking groundbreaking stuff here, and the production isn't perfect - but it pretty much nails everything awesome about good filtered house.

First Optional Deal - Stockholm 2 Paris (2004)

This is tough to find, but a great late-disco track out of the Swedish Mafia (I hate them and that term >:o) but it's an awesome 303-disco fusion.

Mischa Daniels - Ghetto Groove (2004)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3gRn44bsYI

Mischa Daniels is the product of Olav Basoski, and as he was coming out, he dropped a couple of hot disco tracks that sounded influenced by Olav..

Patrick Alavi - Power (2005)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYs1mCu68y8

Alavi was very, very much influenced by the Daft Punk/traditional French House sound that escaped a lot of producers. He had a lot of missteps, but I think he got it right on this one.

I'll let you guys sit on that for now, if you want more then let me know

TIGA STUFF

you forgot the most important aspect of tiga, his sense of humour

*from the sleeve notes of the latest Turbo Omnidance compilation:

Tiga posted:

"If you don't understand Chromeo it's obvious you are a racist. Only racists and deaf people are immune to the Montreal duo's funky funk. Just go buy this ... or are you a Nazi?"

THIS> http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2009/jul/28/tiga-turbo-recordings-album-sleevenotes Guardian article unravels the truth!

The Article posted:

Elsewhere, Tiga, tongue-surgically-implanted-in-cheek, takes time out to offend the Finns, bedroom musicians, women and dwarves (he won't sign either to Turbo), and the recently demobbed Israeli ravers who wash-up in Goa: "Dragon-stick juggling, hard-partying stoners, with cosmic space-trance pants, and post-military abandon. [There is] nothing quite like a bad-tripping and Mossad-trained 19-year-old naked on a motorbike." The French, meanwhile, are given a pass on the basis that while "it's not easy to forgive the Vichy collaborator swine for helping Nazis rule Europe for six years", they do make "amazing luggage and bread".

Pathetic? Well, yeah, it is a bit. But it's also very funny, particularly if you're open to gently daft tales about how Tiga's pooch, "one of the finest A&R dogs in Canada", pivotally preferred Boys Noize to Tiesto; or how Russian producer Proxy ("championed by DJs as shockingly diverse as Erol Alkan and 2ManyDJs") was contacted via Vladivstock's Interior Ministry of Getting Down. Frankly, it's just good to hear techno, often the most self-important of genres, laughing at itself.

I got addicted to "Mind Dimension" for all of last year, my flatmates hated the "drrrr drrr drrr" of it but eventually they got addicted as well. I saw bit of his set at i love techno this year but he wasnt on form, and he even admitted it, but apparently he is a pretty good dj. Sexor and ciao are loving great pop/techno/dance albums though.

Uggh. This is so far from a remix it doesn't deserve the title. It IS a great song, in and of itself, but aside from that one charging laser sound, there's barely any resemblance to the original song.

The video is pretty drat cool, and I really dig the female vocals but the hip hop autotune bits completely ruin this song for me. It really could've represented a fresh sound, but no, it had to fall back to top-40 mediocrity.

I mean, I personally love Ricky Blaze's vocals in the song. It's not the auto-tune I like or even the chorus which is really what implements it, but I just like how he sings and goes about projecting the lyrics, it's got that reggae style to it. But yeah, autotune sucks. However, Nina Sky's voice is gorgeous and perfect (she performed it live w/ Major Lazor at HARD NYC) and apparently Diplo agrees:
Major Lazer ft. Nina Sky - Keep it Goin' Louder - Diplo Remix . I'm rather partial to this version as opposed to the album, but that doesn't keep this song from being my favorite thing to come off of Guns Don't Kill, Lazers Do.

Salute to the flying fish brigade.
Been lurking for a while, glad someone finally brought up The Reeling remix by Yasutaka Nakata. I think that remix is one of his bests considering the fact some of his recent stuff is more pop (I'm talking about you, Perfume.)

For those who aren't familiar with Nakata's work I highly recommend it if you're into Shinichi Osawa. Nakata produced Japan's popular technopop girl-group :puke: Perfume which some people say it's today's Yellow Magic Orchestra. Personally, Perfume is way too typical J-Pop oriented and I prefer his remixes better. Worth a look if you don't mind happy technopop/synthpop with auto-tuned vocals though. He also has his own duo project named Capsule, which has shifted towards electrohouse.

Perfume - NIGHT FLIGHT
capsule - Jelly
capsule - Jumper
capsule - e.d.i.t.
capsule x Daft Punk x Beastie Boys - Starry Sky (YEAH! Remix)

The last one is a mashup obviously and even though I usually do not care for mashups this is an exception. Also NIGHT FLIGHT is probably the only Perfume song I can like. Love the Yellow Magic Orchestra undertones in it (Rydeen and Technopolis.)
