must be demo season cause i just got the urge to record one this week too. less on the deep house side and more jackin' minimal than I usually play. these are also a good chunk of my favorite vinyl and beatport releases from 2009 for folks who missed any. i 'hung up the hat' over a year ago but now that i'm 21 ive actually managed to start making connections in the nightlife industry, and enough money to maybe get some decent laptop and run ableton on it so i'm strongly considering getting back into it... tho there's nothing the world needs less than another dj, i just love doing it. Constructive criticism highly appreciated.

So uh.. guess who's newest EP dropped yesterday?

I'm listening to it right now, and I have to say that Danger is definitely straying from his original "Final Fantasy" sound into dancier stuff.

It's not something I can make up my mind on just yet. On one hand, he's straying moving on into something different, on the other - it's his original sound that put him on the map.

I like 4h30 quite a bit, but so far indifferent to the rest of the EP. It definitely has much less of a chiptune sound.

I think it's his original sound reconfigured into a more mainstream accessible appeal. I like all 3 of the tracks a lot. I think it's a great way for someone to be introduced to him or re-introduced if they found the first EP too much.

I'm sure he'll prove he still has the I in IDM for his last EP/Album

I don't think we will see a real Tron track for awhile yet. Whoever made this really should set up and take credit since it is really good just not Daft Punk. Better than the YouTube track which was pretty much fake from out of the box.

It is a bunch of random people who do it "for Kanye". He is involved basically in name only. You would be amazed how many celeb Twitter accounts and blogs are actually done by other people and the celeb has almost nothing to do with it. In LA I understand it is huge business right now, I got a friend who does 3 Twitter accounts for known people and gets paid $3,000 a month per person. He does like 15 minutes of work a month on them too.

It's about finding that next group of core players we can win with in the next 6, 8, 10 years. Let's face it, it's hard for 20-, 21-, 22-year-olds to lead an NHL team. Look at the playoffs.

For sure, I don't care at all - the Warehouse project is gaining some steam but still no releases yet. Lots of inquiries, though

If you like Warehouse type stuff, I'm doing a live show on Friday that's basically all disco like Warehouse (and my other disco tracks) mashed together live for about an hour. I'm nervous about recording it from Ableton but I might take the chance.
