But seriously while I generally say "electronic music" instead of "electronica" I think the stigma against "electronica" is pretty dumb considering how close the alternative name is to it. Getting all huffy about that in this day and age is kind of silly since it's not much less descriptive than "electronic music" and serves a useful purpose. It's certainly preferable to all electronic music being called techno, which is what largely happened before the term electronica became popular.

i dont prefer 'electronica' myself but its way more annoying that the majority of people i know still refer to all electronic music as techno

If you really want a copy, keep your eye on juno.co.uk. They have it listed TBA, with a release of Feb 5th, so jump on it as soon as you can, as it might go fast.

Search for "09/17/2007" instead of how you have it in your post (even though you are correct).

I can't tell whether to take this post at face value, or to take it as a joke about the usage of the words electronica and techno. I mean, it could easily be an honest request, but the timing is just too perfect considering the present discussion.

Yeah dude, this is straight up progressive house, ppl haven't been posting much of it in this thread but I dig it a lot, tend to lean on the more minimal & tech house side rather than the trancier side but this is good poo poo. Lately I've been falling behind on newer releases (I'm in the mood though so I'll dig through unlistened files today) but here's a couple tracks I like from the past few years.

Pryda - Melo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXS73NDYapg

Hey, what's this thread doing on the second page? Here's some more progressive house youtubes. I don't care what anyone says, this is the perfect music for sex, dancing, AND sexdancing - romantic and hypnotic, thrustable BPM, enough breakdowns that you can take a breather every now and without getting loving boredl ike with trance.
Paolo Mojo & Jim Rivers - Ron Hardy Said (Eric Prydz remix)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhy9RtO7jXk
Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch (Sasha's Invol2ver Remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TllEFAnaWQE
Ludovic Vendi - Overground Limbo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaA2prTv3fM
Marc Romboy - Sonora http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRW3grDdNWI
Koen Groeneveld - Wake Turbulence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUUfF9qtJKw
Marco V & Sander Van Doorn - Organic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsaNUrCpEZ8

on a more minimal note
Minilogue - Animals has a great animated video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--3slK2O_Dk
and so does Kollektiv Turmstrasse - Tristesse

and some hot electro trax courtesy Sharam Jey:
Monday Morning (feat. Princess Superstar) (Lou Lou Players remix)
