It'll be interesting to hear the full album, though.

Much like "War" (which was obviously inspired by Root's "Píseň pro Satana," which happens to resemble and was likely based off of "Necromansy" by Bathory), "Sverddans" sounds like a Root song, although the vocal performance on "War" made this much harder to notice.

What the gently caress happened to Varg's vocals!? They were the best part of Burzum! No black metal disc in the 20 or so years since the Burzum S/T has come close to those awesome shrieks - and now suddenly Varg has gone all generic on us

Just woke up this morning to see that Mayhem canceled their entire North American tour for unknown reasons at this point. What a load of loving poo poo. EDIT: Also those Burzum samples sound amazing -- glad he's back in the game.

You also have to remember that he isn't exactly young anymore, so it's no shock that he doesn't quite have the same level of vocal ferocity as he did 18 years ago.
