I find it strange that that isn't even in the Grand Junction listings. Does a low mileage Scout II really command that much premium? Seems absurd since I usually see them go for under $5000

32,000 original miles, unrestored, perfect with no rust and desirable options, yeah they can pull that much. I wouldn't want it but it's not unreasonably high. Being an 1980 that one likely has a Dana300 in place of the Dana20 transfer case, which is highly desirable and it's got the 345 v8, which is rare for a 1980 since IH was trying to shovel all their surplus Nissan diesels out the door before it slammed shut forever. Those Nissan diesels had no-place to go elsewhere in the organization, the 345 and 304 could still run dump trucks and school busses, just like it always had.

The only thing that one's really got going against it is the front bench seat. High-back buckets with the center console are more popular.

Being from Beavercreek I can tell you that "Good Condition" is very subjective out there, to him this might be good condition compared to his other cars.It looks really bad but that could just be from the dirt. Sometimes field cars hold up well, but a lot of times they don't. He does say it would be a good project car, and it is in better shape than some projects I have seen started.

Yellow 04 Focus Hatchback, Ford Racing SVT wrapped Headers, Many Mods - $8000 (MA)

i got this car at 50k miles. during that time, I have replaced / upgraded many parts, kept ahead of almost all maintenance, and so on.
right now the odometer is around 83k. I have beat the crap out of this car regularly that entire time.
this car will not pass emissions in Mass (the EGR system has been removed ;) You would be buying this to either make it street legal on your own AS IS or as a track toy...
this is as light as it gets for a focus. no power windows, no power door locks, no AC, no soup for you

THE GOOD
Eibach 2" Lowering Springs
Ford Racing SVT Headers, Fiberglass wrapped
Throttle Body Spacer
Strut Tower Bar
PCV replaced with oil breather
EGR System Blocked Off
High Flow Racing Cat
New O2 Sensors
Summit Racing Muffler
All new exhaust piping, 2 flex pipe sections. fully welded... the only bolts are on the engine @ the exhaust manifold :)
exhaust tip you can fit a shoe inside of
b&m short shifter
battery moved to trunk (free up air moving to the filter)
platinum spark plugs + new performance plug wires
new ignition coil pack
rear windows tinted, had to remove front tint (too many tickets ;)
upgraded almost every ground under the hood, also new power cabling
obx triple layer high heat radiator hose
new double blade wipers front and back

the MEH
the interior of the car has been gutted except for the back seats. the door cards and everything are all gone. the shifter boot and ebrake boot are gone. still has all seatbelts and seats. approximately 160 pounds of plastic and foam has been removed to increase handling and fuel economy. this is not a "comfort ride". the lowering springs jolts you every single pothole. the back speakers are gone. the sun visors are gone. the side mirrors are breakaway lightweights, to adjust them you have to by hand outside the car. i also changed from the 16" rims to 13" to reduce rotating mass
again, this car has really taken a beating over the last 30k miles. no idea about the owner before me

THE BAD
I might have said this before, but why not again. I have BEAT THE LIVING BAG out of this car almost the whole time I have had it. It's almost been a running joke. I think I had a brief period at the start when it was stock and comfortable to be inside of that I was so careful around potholes & offramps and all that jazz. someone hit my car when it was parked so to close the hood you gotta give it a good slam. that little plastic peice around the keyhole on the trunk has popped out yet again. the front bumper is cracked on both sides in the bottom corner, that was from going over a mound of hardened snow as a ramp of sorts purely for my jollies. also the lower radiator support has taken a serious beating from all the blows it has taken going into raised parking lots. on one side the gasket for the radiator doesn't 'sit' inside its spot, but as a whole it doesnt seem to be going anywhere. works just the same

i was told the clutch master cylinder is leaking and at some point will get stuck in gear if it is not replaced soonish. it also has a slow brake fluid leak. instead of fixing it I have just been tossing in more fluid every other week

Sooo thats about the whole story. if you want a car you don't have to feel bad about beating on then this things for you. the cars name has been 'duck butt', because of how it looks and sounds.

Oh here's the 2 pictures:

I agree with you. All of my cars have a small system in them. i liek to have a little of the vibrating bass in my cars. I also dynomat the hell out of them so very minimal sound escapes the vehicle. My attitude towards people that think sound sytems are useless and retarded is - "To each their own."

Car audio is a hobby/passion of mine, and i try to make sure that it doesnt inconvenience any one else.

This is the most sought after Cadillac sedan of all time. It's almost 20 ft. long bumper to bumper. The body is very straight with no rust. Would make a great 4 door hot rod rat ratrod or lead sled. I took the front bumper off so the car is easier to load on a trailer. The original engine and transmission included. $500 O.B.O. Give me a call with any questions. 509 949-2372 Thanks for looking.

Even if it is a Corvette engine of the early 60s it was rated at 250 gross HP. So about 200-225HP installed with straight pipes and just an alternator?

True, but I can hope that anyone going to that effort would work the motor over at least a little, 300hp really is nothing out of a 327.

And even if he didn't, you've got the world's best-supported engine already in there to start with.

Runs good, drives smooth

I've owned this vehicle for 6 years. It has been reliable and well maintained. Title in hand.

Cold AC, moon roof.

Exterior is in good condition with minor defects.

Interior is clean, the leather seats have wear and tear, some of the power windows don't work.

My wife recently bought a minivan and asked me to sell my car.

The temporary tag is expiring soon, so I am motivated to sell now.

The asking price is well below kelly blue book values.

You won't find a running, more reliable vehicle on the market for this price.
