I'm just starting to get into house music but my knowledge of the genre is limited to the Ministry of Sound annual releases. Any recommendations for a newcomer to the genre?

So NoisePorn had an entry on PeaceTreatyquote:Earning the respect of such massive players in the dance music scene as Kissy Sell Out, Fake Blood and Tommie Sunshine is certainly no mean feat, but Californian duo PeaceTreaty have managed to do so in literally a matter of months. The boys have only been producing together since the beginning of the year and already have several monumental tunes under their belt. Friends of the blogosphere at large, the pair are living up to their moniker and have given us a whole bunch of tunes to share. Exploding with massive, wonky electro synth-lines and moody warehouse-style techno percussion, most of these tunes would fit tidily in a tech-house or electro-house set, preferably in a stadium somewhere! The musical equivalent of setting off a bunch of fireworks in a club, you’ll definitely get a reaction by dropping one of these. Enjoy! Here's a link to the entry and to the massive tunes, which include remixes of Bart B More, Riva Starr, and Harvard Bass, and literally everyone single one of them is fire

When I saw Busy P, A-Track said "everyone it's David Guetta!!!!!" then the room went silent. Then he said, "just loving with you it's BUSY P." And everyone lost it. Ahah gently caress David Guetta. I didn't even know he was responsible for all that garbage house/pop poo poo that my dorm mates love.

gently caress David Guetta. I live in guido central of the greater Toronto area, I don't need that poo poo on my dance floors. gently caress Guvernment for overselling their shows. I want to go see Armin but jesus christ 70 bucks to not be able to move and I can see Deko-ze, Jayforce, Manzone and Strong, and Mark Oliver any weekend. The rest of the lineup isn't anything special... thArf ASOT 450 is what we are talking about Its airing first in Toronto at a club that likes to pack people in so hard its impossible to move sometimes. (I actually love the guv its just too much sometimes) And I'm digging PeaceTreaty, gonna follow these guys and see what they come up with. This is pretty much a textbook example of my taste in electro. Lots of breaks and dirty beats woooo

Just got back from the first night of WMC. God...loving....damnit. My brain is melting and I'm definitely not sleeping soon. Wolfgang Gartner tore it up (great great GREAT set), pretty sure we missed Japanese Popstars. Then things went all wrong. MSTRKRFT had their equipment shut out on them three separate times, and once during Benassi's set, not sure if it was them or Mansion but Mansion has always been top notch on sound systems etc. I have some lovely, but still worth looking cell phone pics from the night that I'll edit my post with. Tomorrow = "THE BEACHBOMBING!" and "Oi Bang!" Thursday = Juicy Beach Party Weekend = Ultra Music Festival! I hope my brain makes it through!

Not that that would have changed the amount of people who recognized you, it just looks a little different from what I've seen Danger draw/wear. I went as Guy-Manuel from Daft Punk a couple years ago, and not too many people commented on it. I'm still kind of working on the helmet, and I'm hoping to put an Arduino in it for some programmable lights.
