It's coming. With the other two winners, the email didn't get through to them when they were asking for their address, so one of them eventually sent me a message asking if I got one, and I told them who to respond to, etc... I got the email the day the winners were announced after I responded to the youtube PM, so I'm not sure what happened.

I emailed Ekleroshock, and a week ago they said they still needed a shirt to be made (most likely due to the two others being a few weeks off in responding to them). But trust me, when I get it, I'll post it.

I don't get it either, the main lead gets ridiculously repetitive and sounds like its from some outdated overblown trance track.

It's a heavy hard hitting beat with a huge drop, what more could a club want? Especially after a few drinks accompanied by flashing lights and lasers. THIS is the type of song to get a lot of clubs going wild.

You don't have to like it to understand why it's popular, and it doesn't have to be a superb song to get a club going.

Pretty much exactly what Dono said.
Really heavy hitting track, WICKED bassline, and its very progressive (it IS prog house, which is why its a little trance-y) but has a very strong electro sound. It's not overly produced to the point where its cheesy, but the production is top notch.
As for repetition, when its mixed live at a club with samples and everything its much different. First of all no real DJ plays tracks front to back all the way through. It's gonna get cut up a bit, and mixed.

A lot of you are missing the point here (I'll exclude Threatis because...well you know). The Sweedish House Mafia track may not be spectacular to your taste and while I hope it does get a better tuned remix, this is an amazing track for a well tuned progressive house mix. The biggest thing to understand is that the track just might not be exactly what you want to hear.

In fact, I forget the name of the DJ right now but he mixed this track into his set at Space Miami on the Terrace in the last few weeks and it was pretty awesome.

threatis brought up the biggest problem with the track though, which is that its 7 minutes of the same riff with little variation. its catchy enough, but you're out of your mind if you think it needs to be played in its entirety in any context. mix out of it after a few minutes if you're gonna play it in a set

Ok here comes the disco house ultimate POST:

Rhythm Masters - Oriental Cyber Phunk/Mutator (1999)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojbq5lXMxdQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wGvvjZGHrQ

The Rhythm Masters always had the nastiest percussion, it was really hard and gritty - the compression was super tight, and the whole track gelled really well from a mix standpoint - on top of that, they were expert samplers that knew how to accompany a good sample with on-point percussion. Mutator had some crazy filter stuff going on it that you didn't really hear back in the day, but that track is slamming.

Player - Give It To Me (Joey Beltram Remix), other JB3 tracks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC-ap3trMxk

I always wondered how this would do with the electro kids - JB3's style combined techno with disco, and he did it really well. The Player remix is one of my all-time favorites, and why it wasn't in my Top 25 list I'm not sure. It's an excellent track.

Other Joey Beltram stuff:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOB5nXaM7OE (Joey Beltram - Super Magnetic)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpy5umrKS6I (Joey Beltram - In The Ultra Drive)

Essential CZR tracks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6tw9lFcuf0 (The Funk Parlor - Warehouse Muzik)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1p-rmF-r-Y (CZR and Ito - Soiree)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFN3XQSxhCc (CZR and Ito - Bringin The Funk) <-- Essential Chicago House
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwQEvwu17cE (CZR - I Want You)

CZR is one of my favorite disco producers ever - we're not talking groundbreaking stuff here, and the production isn't perfect - but it pretty much nails everything awesome about good filtered house.

First Optional Deal - Stockholm 2 Paris (2004)

This is tough to find, but a great late-disco track out of the Swedish Mafia (I hate them and that term >:o) but it's an awesome 303-disco fusion.

Mischa Daniels - Ghetto Groove (2004)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3gRn44bsYI

Mischa Daniels is the product of Olav Basoski, and as he was coming out, he dropped a couple of hot disco tracks that sounded influenced by Olav..

Patrick Alavi - Power (2005)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYs1mCu68y8

Alavi was very, very much influenced by the Daft Punk/traditional French House sound that escaped a lot of producers. He had a lot of missteps, but I think he got it right on this one.

I'll let you guys sit on that for now, if you want more then let me know
