I'd bet that description is the most real, and ten to one says Mommy was over his shoulder telling him what to type. I'd have to wonder how much of a piece of poo poo the Corvette he raced was, how bad the driver was, or if the neighbor even knew they were racing.

Well, he didn't leave a phone number and the photo doesn't seem to be a Saskatoon-esque neighborhood, not even including the palm trees in the distance.

Looking at that, I can't figure out a reason anybody would buy it. Once you started fixing the rust you would end up just rebuilding the whole thing from scratch anyway.

The only person with any reason to make an offer on something like that is someone who has invented a magical rust-reversing beam and needs a test subject.

It's a Jag from the 80s. Expensive cars put together in a rather iffy way and with second-rate components. Among the list of things that have to be replaced to make it run properly are door seals, electrical connectors (all of them) and suspension bushings.

Also this is a V12 from the 1970s slightly updated in the 80s, it consumes a lot of gas but delivers < 300bhp.

If it's a genuine TWR one, it's at least interesting. Still going to be a nightmare, but a nice talking point while it's immobilised.

I hope it didn't see any Rochester winters either. Rochester and Syracuse get more snow than Buffalo though more dispersed throughout the year. I used to live in Buffalo and strangely, I miss it, and might move back.

The legality of the vehicle is also suspect. Generally Americans aren't allowed to just import cars from other countries willy nilly, or otherwise they would all be driving Ford Falcons and Nissan Skylines. The ad says the car came to the US via Canada, which doesn't sound legal at all.

On the Subaru note, how about a minty 58k mile XT? Not sure if it's a base model with A/C, or the GL-10 loaded to the gills model with the digital dash, air suspension, trip computer and cruise control. $2800 which is about the top end for XT's because nobody wants them.
