It didn't even take a week before I started clawing my ears out every time I heard it but I work in a pretty trashy nightclub so I'm literally hearing it about 7 times a weekend at this point. Last time I remember a song saturating the clubs like this was probably D.A.N.C.E. or maybe that Sidney Samson song. I guess I can't blame the song or even the people that want to hear it because obviously they haven't heard it as much as I have but I guess it's frustrating that the DJs are basically clawing over each other to be the first one to drop this song each night

I usually don't like to poo poo-talk songs based on over-exposure because it makes you sound like a dude with an attitude problem towards anyone who doesn't have the most cutting edge tastes but I feel substantially more validated when you're talking about music that is quite deliberately superficial and structurally repetitive because these songs aren't designed to be timeless classics, they're designed to get a dance floor going and they achieve this largely through their novelty.

So any advice on how to ramp up on all this stuff? The annoying thing is that a ton of artists just put out EP's, or billions of remixes, so I have no clue how to get good stuff. Do people really just use all youtube all the time? That seems like a pain as far as making playlists and whatnot. Either way I'm going through this thread and favoriting the youtubes that I like, but am not sure where to go from there. I'll read the blogs and grab cool new stuff, but am not sure what else I can do :/ The myspaces sometimes have mixes but rarely have tracks. Advice would be appreciated, love house and electro :)

Welcome to the world of electronic music i guess. If an artist releases an album the best tracks are about 6months to a year old already. you just gotta search around, ever wonder why the guys who know all the best tracks are massive loving nerds?

Well, considering that this thread has yielded a ton of great tracks...yes, I have noticed that :P

But yeah I guess I just have to sort of try and capture good stuff in the net going forward. No easy answer and all that jazz.

Friday's John Digweed Essential Mix is loving unbelievable. It's funny how I can really get into mixes like Jack Beats', where theres 25 songs that I've heard before mixed together in interesting ways... then mixes like this come around where I've heard nothing from it before, and it absolutely blows me away.

I listen to every mixtape I can get my hands on.

Listen to BBC Radio 1 online. Because they still get the hottest poo poo before any loving third rate blog will get their hands on like this.

Some good mixes but much more dnb/dubstep oriented. I've just been scrolling through the threads on here picking up mixes. I have added over 50 hours of mixes and free releases to my iTunes over the last week or so, pretty much all linked from NMD, specifically the dnb / dub / house threads.
