Even the Boss 302 delivered less than 300. Perhaps he's talking about the theoretical top end of the engine. In which case I'd like to say that my A4 with the 2L engine could, according to a mechanic I trust, also handle about 500bhp. You'd just have to hook up a huge turbo to it, completely reprogram the ECU, and run it on 100+ octane racing fuel...

Many 302 blocks have been known to crack before 500hp so you can forget the theoretical aspect too.

deviant. posted:Is it even making half of that with a cam? Especially since it sounds like he didn't do anything with the heads or intake to match? 250hp with a cam is pretty reasonable with a stock long block, but 200hp is probably closer to the truth.

I don't need two 1986 Turbo 4wd Digital Dash GL-10 Subaru XT's, do I? Actually yes, yes I do. Although I wonder why the passenger side strut is gas & the driver's side is the original NightmAir™ suspension. I like how the trunklid reads "GL-10 FULL-TIME 4WD TURBO XT". http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1804016962.html

Almost Gold: Damaged 1998 Volvo V70R Wagon / Parts - $900 Damaged 1998 Volvo V70R Wagon for sale. This is the model with huge engine power and sport driving function. Wrecked by a deer, no humans harmed. Damage limited to hood, front driver's side quarter panel, grill, headlight and bumper. We didn't even stop moving and airbags did not deploy. Beautiful black leather interior with diamond quilted panels. Picture shows vehicle before damaged portions were removed to investigate extent of damage. All pieces removed are included in sale except grill and front driver's quarter panel. Being offered for parts, as accident damage and faulty drive shaft exceed value of vehicle. Mileage is digital and not readily available. $900 or best reasonable offer. Cash only. Delivery unavailable, buyer must tow. Oh really? Let me drive 30 minutes and take a look. 2 problems -- it was left outside for over a year since the accident and the weather had taken a heavy toll. Also, the woman told me that it "smelled hot" when they parked it last year... hmmm. Let's see, I'll take the bungie off the hood and see what's under there. "How far away was the shop that gave you the estimate?" "About 10 miles" "Didn't you notice that the radiator isn't even connected? " Still a good buy for someone. The front and rear bumpers alone would bring several hundred, as would the nice sport seats with the suede inserts. Too many variables for me to do anything with it. Too bad...

That does not look like any Subaru engine bay I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty of them. Usually they have a hardpipe from the turbo, but that has an odd airbox and intake manifold.

The "Spider" intake was on the EA-82t for a short time, the airbox has a Hot-Wire type MAF as opposed to the earlier Flapper type. Good for a 3hp boost over the 1986 year! The EA-82t still explodes if you look at it wrong. The 85/86 GL-10 XT's have a button on the shifter for 4wd, otherwise they are front wheel drive. Gotta find room for more 80's cars. I want a fleet.
