I'm actually getting there on the 20th so I figure I'll go to Hot Pink Delorean at Egg, and then either Fabric or Rhythm Factory to catch DJ Jollan who knows a bunch of my boys in Brazil or Pacha for Gregor Salto on the 21st. Plus Streetlight Manifesto is at O2 Academy on the 22nd and I missed them in New York so that was a lucky coincidence. Are any of those clubs/venues crappy and not worth going to?

Pacha will be unbelievably expensive, posh and gross... Like, unless you're a fake-tanned Jersey Shore character whose religion is Ibiza house, there's literally no reason to pick Pacha over Fabric or Rhythm Factory lol.

Yeah that's how it is in NYC, I wasn't sure if it'd be different in London or not. I'll definitely avoid it, thanks!

I'm a massive fan of the synth work of pink floyd, especially the first few parts of "Shine in you Crazy Diamond", and the beginning of "Sheep" is amazing

Is there much other stuff out there like this? Or when the thread title says "synth" doesn't it not mean what I think.

For all the Skrillex fans (myself being one) check out some of his remixes. They are sick and are great for parties:

Lady Gaga - "Alejandro (Skrillex Remix)": The part after the chorus is nuts
Lady Gaga - "Bad Romance (Skrillex Radio Edit)": This remix essentially beefs up the original track and makes it really club friendly. This one might be my favorite of his.
Black Eyed Peas - "Rock That Body (Skrillex Remix)": Not as good as the Gaga ones, but still great.

depends on what you like, considering that a lot of them run the spectrum from house to minimal to breaks to jungle.

my personal faves are spank rock (the bootleg FABRICDEAD is legendary), atrak, robert hood, akufen, tiefschwarz, optimo (espacio), ricardo villalobos, dj craze, and diplo.

Sander Van Doorn is playing in San Francisco Friday night at the Ruby Skye for anyone interested. I'm pretty excited about it, he's one of my favorite trance artists and I've heard real good things about his DJ sets so I'm pretty excited.

There's also a rather large event occuring in Sacramento this Saturday with three stages and a couple of good DJs. John Beaver is going to be there, and he's pretty fun live, and so is G.A.M.M.A. who I recently saw spin a pretty good dubstep/electro set.

Awww drat, I should've posted in this thread. A bunch of these kids came to our Otto/Snares party down the street. It was funny because everyone at the party early was dressed in like black shirts and black pants, the darkest dnb uniform. But then around like 1230, 1am a bunch of kids started lining up with green, pink or baby blue shirts.

some guy called XL Productions or something threw a hissyfit at the door because he wasn't on the guestlist ("were you supposed to be? i'm sorry, i don't know who you are")
