Fitz and the Tantrums - Moneygrabber http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bb6cBKE3WzQ I love the old school motown feel, and the lyrics are about someone screwing you over getting their "payback". Like an ex-wife...or ex-husband in a divorce situation. But I digress. It's awesome

I figure this is the best place to ask this, as I believe I either saw it here or in the youtube thread over in GBS...It was a music video that had a really cool black and white style, where a bunch of cartoon people are sitting around doing various things. At some point some instruments come in and start blowing out birds, and the birds rip the people's heads off and other animals are underneath (like dogs playing poker, etc). The song was great but I didn't save it, and this must have been a year ago...I have no idea even whereabouts in the thread it might be or if I have the right one. Any ideas?

Stargazer by Rainbow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SedQcg-65a8 I'd never heard of Rainbow until I started digging through my dad's old records and found their first album, "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow." I figured it had to be good if it was coming from Deep Purple's guitarist. I put on the record and realized that was the singer. I've been a fan ever since. Stargazer is off Rainbow's second album "Rising."

Gunfight Epiphany - Robert Duncan http://www.ilike.com/artist/Robert+Duncan/album/Terriers+%28FX%29 The recently-released full-version of the Terriers theme (incredible show, by the way; highly recommend checking it out on Hulu). The hook just has a way of getting into your head and staying there (you'll know it as you hear it). That said, I do like the version used opening / end titles more (not as refined, more of a garage sound), but the song is just exceptional. Ghostpilot has a new favorite as of 12:12 on Oct 26, 2010 |
