So erm, Pendulum had a remix competition for 'The Island Part I' and a 16 year old kid from France won it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7iESu2XuCU Daft Punk, eat your heart out. His original tracks are great as well, go to his Myspace and check out 'Shuriken' and 'For You' if you don't believe me. Unreal.

For all you Toronto people out there, Embrace just booked Skrillex at Wrongbar for Dec 1st. I haven't heard much from him (not my thing), I just know hes exploding with his EPs. I thought he produced electro though not dubstep? The party he was booked at is a dubstep weekly... I know one of the guys who runs it, and even though he does a great job of throwing a huge party every week, I don't know why they didn't book him for a Friday or Saturday night at a higher capacity club... I've just uploaded a segment of a new track to get some feedback, if anyone could take a listen and let me know what they think that would be super! http://soundcloud.com/downpour/grindhouse-2-demo Sorry about it not fading at the end... I'm re-writing the second hook and the intro needs work, so I just went for a beatport style sample. Assume the rest is on par, I just need another night on it to get that done.

now now, boys, no top tier genre sissyslap fights in this thread I was getting sentimental and managed to track down a couple good vids of Sasha and Digweed at Webster Hall in 2008 (after they made webster look cool again.) They do incredible live sets when they're together. Also their LED structure was consistently amazing and varied. Highly recommend seeing either of them when they come around again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVs2cMAjfA0&

Anyone in the NYC area should definitely check out the Busy P set tomorrow night at Hiro Ball Room. I just got an email hinting at a big surprise guest appearance at the show tomorrow night... It mentioned "2 French Guys" but they didn't name who. Off the top of my head the only 2 French Guys I know are Justice or Daft Punk. My money is on Justice being that they are on Ed Banger Records. But Daft Punk also did that surprise appearance at the last Phoenix show at MSG, so who knows... Here is a link to the blogpost: http://dancesauce.com/2010/10/busy-p-hiro-ballroom-10-28-10-daft-punk-or-justice/ Any goons going to be there tomorrow night? let me know.

Touche, I just assumed "duo" when I read it. But for the 5 dollar entry I would be excited to see anyone. Plus, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I didn't show up and it turned out to be Justice or Daft Punk. I was offered tickets to the Phoenix show and I declined since I had already seen them twice, terrible decision.

This mix, previously only mentioned in hushed whispers has reached legendary status in club culture worldwide, perhaps even eclipsing oakenfolds "goa mix" - now available after having been salvaged from DAT, and available to the world. This is music history. Also the E at that party must have been p. crazy.

First HARD announces a special guest and everyone thinks it's gonna be daft punk. Now this Busy P show is advertising 2 *french* special guest, which of course everyone thinks is gonna be daft punk. I really can't wait for promoters to stop thinking they're clever and intriguing by hinting that DP is gonna be playing their dumpy little events.
