i am not so sure posted:

According to a response on their Facebook, expect a Blu of Army of Shadows around January. I haven't seen that yet and it's a good blind-buy candidate.

Yeah, this was announced last month. To recap the January releases:

Army of Shadows (Blu)
Robinson Crusoe on Mars (Blu)
Shock Corridor (Blu and SE DVD)
The Naked Kiss (Blu and SE DVD)
Broadcast News (Blu and DVD)
Eclipse: Basil Dearden's London Underground (Sapphire, The League of Gentlemen, Victim, All Night Long)

More imporantly, is Khondji just hanging out at Criterion, or is he working on something? City of Lost Children, maybe? The Ninth Gate?

Ninth Gate is Lionsgate I believe and it already has a Blu Release. Doesn't seem too likely.

Somebody on facebook claims that it's probably City of Lost Children or Stealing Beauty because "Everything else either has a blu already or belongs to a company that doesn't license." I was sure it was The Game until I realized Fincher worked with Harris Savides, not Khondji, on that film.

Just picked up Yojimbo/Sanjuro and Repulsion at my Barnes and Noble, with Antichrist, House and Darjeeling Limited off their website. Any reason why it's taking them so long to ship the online ones?

I stopped in to Barnes and Noble today and picked up The Magician and Paths of Glory. Watched the latter tonight, it's a great movie and of course looks amazing. I'll be going back next week to get Night of the Hunter, but I probably won't be able to control myself and I'll get another one or two on top of that.

I'm assuming it's really busy this time of year because of christmas anyway, add to that 50% off and it's swarmed. My order says that House is coming on time but Paths of Glory will be delayed 1 week, even though I ordered it as "come all at once no matter how long it takes". I hope they don't charge me double for shipping.

They're really good for the shipping costs. They've been breaking up all my orders into pieces and they're just splitting the total shipping price between the different things they're sending.

yea i made an order out to Canada of 4 blus.. Seven Samurai is being shipped on schedule while the other 3 have been delayed (House, Charade, Paths of Glory). just like Mr Fun has said, they've split up the shipping costs and not charging the orig. amount 4x, which is very nice to see.

i still have yet to figure out why they completely cancelled ali: fear eats the soul .. anyone have anything similar to that happen to them?

First chunk of my order came in the other day (House, Charade, Paths of Glory, Seven Samurai and Crumb). Less than a week after ordering, and I was expecting to wait almost two. :canada:

I popped in House to watch during the evening and all I have to say about House is I've never seen a movie like House.

No idea why, but something similar happened to me. I had the local B&N order House for in-store pickup twice and both times it was canceled the next day with no explanation. That was last week and the B&N site is now telling me that the local store has a copy in stock. I have no idea what's going on.

Speaking of Fanny & Alexander, is a blu ray release on the horizon? I know Criterion's announcing new titles on Monday, but I'm guessing there would have been a bit more foreshadowing if something like F&A was being worked on.

I like how Criterion handled the one double-feature disc. That would be a good idea for films they could pair up (like their three Rene Clair films, which would neatly fit on one BD-50).

Crumb is just as hypnotic and soul-crushing as I remember it. The remaster looks great - I really enjoy seeing grainier films in HD since it's more of a texture than a layer of noise on DVD.

Paths of Glory looks and sounds amazing. I wasn't expecting the audio to have such great fidelity and power to it.

Double Life of Veronique, Sweet Smell of Success and Senso are absolute must-haves for me (and I haven't even seen the latter two - I put that much faith in each, or at least that much faith in my Visconti-boner in the case of Senso).
