Anyone else think Chromeo should have released the Hot Mess version featuring Elly Jackson from La Roux on it instead of the original as a single? Check it out, it's huge!

Holy Jesus. Holy Jesus

I heard Matthew Dear's You Put A Smell On Me at a bar over the weekend. I sorta lost touch with the various Matthew Dear/Audion projects since 2006, but god drat this song is fantastic. Just bought the album, and it's amazing.

Anyone have any more recommendations for more of this heavy ugly beautiful music that is around 100-110 bpm? I'm REALLY getting into slower stuff (relative to most dance music).

That track is the loving business. One of my favorites of the year for sure. I've been looking for that same slow, smutty, dark sound myself, but have been finding that most of the 100-110 BPM stuff out there these days lacks that edge, and is mostly chuggy, upbeat disco. Still, you oughta check out guys like Modeselektor, Siriusmo, Tensnake, John Talabot, The Love Supreme, Chicken Lips (new album owns), Kenton Slash Demon, to name a few. You'll also want to check out the rest of the Ghostly International Catalogue on Beatport, and the new Opptimo EP out on La Bombe.

Some tracks you might get down with:
Evil Nine - Real Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xXXwyya734

I've had zero luck finding a place to buy his music, but the description of his song 'A Swing Thing' says it's dropping on 12/20/2010 through Broken Records UK, so we can only hope it'll be grouped with some other tracks, too. I'm dying to have this stuff in my library.
