A game of mafia intended for 13-15 players with unique winning conditions, power roles, and dynamic flavor.

If you are interested in playing, please PM me. If I don't know you though, I'd like to talk to you before handing out a spot. Best way to do that is to hit me on AIM at TheContrarySon. This game is going to be a bit involved, so I'm doing my best to make sure all of the moving parts are set.

The game will consist of 26 25 players.
~~This time next Friday~~ Sometime in January I will send out invitations to a number of players. Please do not be offended if you don't get an invitation - I want a wide variety of players from a wide variety of backgrounds who can complement each other's strengths and weaknesses; it's not a popularity contest.
--- No more than about half the game will consist of invitations.
Once I have sent invitations, I will announce myself open for requests from other players.
--- Then you can PM me en masse.
The thread will go up on or around January ~~1st~~ 2011 at the soonest. Once the thread is up, if there are empty slots, people can feel free to sign up directly.

It's that time of year again folks! CHRISTMAS TIME! We've got just over a week left and still SO MANY PRESENTS to make! Unfortunately, the evil Easter Bunny wants to prevent us from making our quota, so his holiday means more. Let's not let that happen!

Help Santa save Christmas! This is a 15 person CHRISTMAS GAME! Since Christmas is so near, Day and Night phases will be VERY short. 24 hour days, 24 hour nights. The goal is to be done before Christmas!

Please don't play if you can't adhere to this schedule!

Siberia, 2018. A mining company, boring through the arctic ice to look for new mineral veins has made a startling discovery - a group of neanderthals, trapped in the ice. When scientists arrive on-scene, they come to an even more shocking realization: preliminary tests reveal that these cave men did not succumb to the Ice Age slowly, but were rather flash frozen in some sort of apocalyptic meteorological event. There is some speculation that the bodies have been cryogenically preserved, and could even be resuscitated, through recent developments at the French Hopitaux de Rouen.

Disaster strikes, however as the frozen Neanderthals are being transported via the trans-Siberian railway. Ice build-up on the power conduits from the engine cause a short circuit, resulting in power loss to the rest of the train. Their car no longer refrigerated, the Neanderthals begin to thaw and, to the horror and amazement of the scientists, to reawaken. Understandably confused and upset upon finding themselves in another millennium, on board a vehicle they have no understanding of, the Neanderthals begin rioting and throwing people from the train.

Though the scientists are outnumbered, there are two factors in their favour. Firstly, the Neanderthals' brains are still addled from their long sleep, so they seem incapable of differentiating between their own kind and the modern humans. Secondly, one of the scientists happens to be a field biologist, and has brought a syringe and some tranquilizer with him; whenever the train passes into a tunnel and is plunged into darkness, one scientist will be able to take this opportunity to sedate a Neanderthal surreptitiously.

Will the scientists be able to neutralize all the Neanderthals before the train arrives at its destination? Or will a trainload of angry cavemen be unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens of Rouen? This is for you to decide, in this exciting game of... Neanderthals on a Train!
