Dual exhaust ports maybe? Doesn't look long enough to have 24 cylinders, at least not at that displacement, and it certainly sounds like a big V12. It actually sounds a lot like the relatively puny 27-liter Merlin V12,

You're right about what coil bind is, and I still think it's close to getting there: I think it's the funky lighting but the way it oscillates so much faster when it's fully compressed tells me that it's close.
