I definitely agree with your suggestion of percussion, Im currently just using the built in drum kits in Ableton to make my beats so its limited. Do you suggest sampling sounds from other tracks or buying those sample packs they have online?

First 10 minutes didn't really do anything for me but around the 12 minute mark it started to pick up the pace and I could see myself dancing to it in a club. Afrojack is always a good addition and the mixing itself was pretty drat tight so yeah, not bad overall

A friend of mine was making doing an imitation of skerritt bwoy at the bar a month ago, and he was screaming about daggering and mashing up semen inside vaginas, and I was so loving out of my brains laughing that I puked. I am excited to see Major Lazer in two weeks.

I've done a mix if anyone wants to have a listen! It's dubby techno, dark and smooth. More of an early hours/sleazy bar mix rather than full on club. You can download and listen to it here: http://soundcloud.com/downpour/downpour-black-sun-mix

Most of the tunes I play are fairly niche so will never be to everyones taste. Thanks for the feedback

Took everyones advice on my percussion samples and went ahead and picked up some sample packs. I definitely think it sounds a lot more full and nicer! Also, does anyone know the name of the track that's getting played on Rinse with the sample of Waylon from The Wire sayin "More than I wanna get high" and then a longer speech where he ends witb "I know I got one more high in me but I'm not sure I got one more sober"? It's got a deeper, filtery sound. Not very funky.
