RedOne produced that usher track, and it's pretty much pop with electro synths. Rusko produced that Britney track which basically has ONE dubstep drop, then it's just pop. As for that Enrique song, that was just loving trash with one of the shittiest hooks I've ever heard. In conclusion, never post in this thread again.

I guess coming blindly into a thread where you've never posted, dropping inane bullshit that doesn't add anything to the current conversation but just re-iterates what everyone has known for a long time is perfectly fine, but calling someone out on that while making a mistake about a Britney track gets me the vengeance of Stuntastic.

No Music Discussion > House/Electro/Synth and accompanying genres - In conclusion, never post in this thread again. I didn't see Black Swan, and I never got the iTunes version of Further, so I just heard The Chemical Brothers - Don't Think for the first time yesterday... the first time since they anonymously dropped it 2 years ago at coachella. I'm really digging it. Check this track out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q01rWFi65gU

I'm bummed I won't be there, but if someone in the crowd has a good recording setup like 2009 (and you know someone will), it'll be online in perfect quality within a week of Coachella. In fact, that's one of the reasons why I'm not super disappointed about not going this year, because of the great bootlegs.

Main question, does Rihanna or her people know you did this? Basically an instrumental of the song came out, and some bedroom kid used phase inversion (or cooking) to extract the acapella. I used that in my track without consulting her label because I'm not selling it and it would cost them more to sue me than what they would gain. If they hear it, there's a chance I could get a cease and desist, but I've yet to get one for any of the remixes I've done, probably because they're promo only and I'm not selling them for-profit.

As much as I knew that people did that, I wasn't sure if that applied to you since you're actually under a label.

I am actually under a holding company that protects my rights as an artist - I'm not actually signed to a label. There's a slight difference there.

[ask] me about the days when we would do this with two turntables, the actual release, the instrumental on the flip, and some serious one on one time with cubase/logic/audigy. one week to extract an acapella you will probably never use.

Ok I am just throwing this song up here even though it should be in the D&B thread. I feel that someone that is interested in both genres (Electronica/D&B) would be able to get into the song. Also if someone can point me in the right direction of music similar to this (D&B but with a vocal track) I would much appreciate it. Stereo is basically the only thing you might be into. there's a cool kid dance party at Saphir up on St Laurent. beyond that just check http://rave.ca because they list all the club nights on there and its basically the only centeralized site for Montreal. If you can give me a more specific idea of what you're looking for, i can definitely try and help because the line between "good venue" and "GHB and Popped Collars" venue is reeeaaallllyyyyy thin in that city. edit: also, where are you coming from, that can help me narrow it down.
