Man, I'd jump on that if it was near me. When I needed a new vehicle I went looking for one and the only one I found was this for 25k, no typo. His grandfather left it to him when he died and I guess he figured it was a collectible.

Also this guy exists somewhere, hoarding all the rampages/scamps in the area.

It's not really rare, beautiful or interesting. "The other ones of this model either rusted away or exploded over the years" doesn't count as "rare". And "it's just like the one in F&F except a different color" doesn't count as "interesting". Thirdly it's a Jetta, it's not what most people would call beautiful.

Edit: Also I think that car would have been something like $21k new, and there's no mention of mileage so you have to assume it'd be pretty high.

Nothing that I've seen on VWVortex in any way approached illegal, let alone anything that's likely to get posted here. Whether or not that crazy bitch is bothering the FBI about it, I'll take my chances.

It sure doesn't surprise me that the largest VW/Audi board is a hotbed of violent misogynist homophobes. She should stick to posting on Billy Bob's Mustang and Hummer chat.

This whole saga has more layers than an onion. The only way it could have been better is if the car was a Subaru and she posted it on NASIOC.

I go to a couple of places like that, the "automotive subforum" is usually full of misogynist homophobes who also don't know anything about cars, and the majority of threads are just looking for advice on fighting speeding tickets.

Any kind of automotive forum, for the most part. I'm a member of local car forums in New York and Illinois, and they're full of Arab-hating, gay-bashing, global-warming-denying hyperconservatives who receive my relatively inoffensive left-moderate insight as something akin to Joseph Stalin dickslapping Jesus Christ. Half the reason for this, I'm convinced, is that Something Awful doesn't run vBulletin or other forum software that combines subforums into a "Recent Posts" list. So there's no way that I can wind up talking politics with oxbrain or I HATE CARS. This is probably a good thing for the subforum, on the whole.

It is a relatively simple vehicle because military requirements limited the use of computers and other electronics that might compromise the vehicles reliability.
The vehicle comes with operation and service manuals on CD
Jeep trailer with air over hydraulic brakes
On-board tools include:
Large hand tools (sockets and wrenches)
Air tools
Power Socket wrench (NATO plug)
Many spare parts including rear axle and 24 Volt generator
One spare tire and wheel with vehicle and a second for storage
History:
This vehicle was commissioned to the U.S. military in 1973 as an M-35 A2 and assigned V.I.N. 054010965. In 1996, the vehicle was purchased privately and sent to AM General where it was completely reconditioned and converted to an M-35 A3 at a cost of +/- $140,000. I purchased the vehicle in early 2003 with less than 500 miles since the reconditioning. In 2004, I contracted with Ultra Haulers of Corona, California to remove the "Conestoga Wagon" back and build the motor home coach works. The current mileage is +/-18,000 I know this sounds like a lot of money, but this vehicle has to be seen to be appreciated. Its like new. Questions: please call Bill @ 619-322-6287
