I'm looking for more stuff like The Great Annihilator by Swans, and just more early industrial in general.

Controlled Bleeding - Songs from the Grinding Wall
Coil - Horse Rotorvator
Coil - Scatology
Psychic TV - Descending
Psychic TV - Those Who Do Not
Lustmord - Paradise Disowned
Godflesh - Street Cleaner (more on the metal side, but JKB was a HUGE Swans fan)

If I remember right Head of David were pretty much a Swans cover band, but its been a while since I've listened to them.

You could try Mirrors, who were kicking around the Cleveland scene at the same time as the Electric Eels and Rocket from the Tombs. Their self-titled record is a classic, but if you're having trouble tracking it down the Hands in My Pockets retrospective is solid too.

Mirrors - Shirley

I went travelling and was introduced to Electrelane. The Power Out is an amazing album, in particular one track:

I'm searching for similiar artists with identical composition and intensity - preferably new entries on the music scene, let's say from 2009 -->

Something that was suggested to me a few pages back was some Lovage. They had one CD and it's out of print now, I was lucky enough to find a copy of one at our local used CD store. It's got all that you asked for and is really goddamned smooth to listen to as well.

Can anybody direct me to present artists that follow this style?

Okay I really like Dark Tranquility, specifically Damage Done (pretty much every song) and Haven (a few of them), but going through their other discs that I've been able to find it seems like those two are pretty different from their usual sound. Or maybe not, is there anything similar to these out there?

If anyone knows anything similar to Grey Waters - Say Goodbye I'd be pretty much indebted to you forever. Big heavy guitars and big heavy atmospheres. Bonus points if there's no growling but I can handle a little I guess.

As for man man, for some reason I always think of them when I listen to Introducing... by Foxy Shazam, especially the song "It's hair smelled like bonfire", even though the genres are pretty separate.

They always get compared to Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart too. Other options are Gogol Bordello (who they recently went on tour with) and a local band called Rapskallion.

They're some I can think of right now

The Diskords, if you can find them anywhere. They were like 13/14 when they were around (the members all moved on to Autistic Youth, Absolute Rulers, Cower, and a few other bands that might have a little recognition outside of Portland), but its really really good power pop/punk. And of course there is all the older bands those bands love, The Undertones, Cheap Trick, the Adolescents, The Nerves, The Only Ones, The Members, etc
