Now, Tokyo Craigslist gets a lot of ads for cars, usually classics, in the US. I flag them because it is against the rules and loving annoying. But this one is something special. I just got an email a few minutes ago... "your email with craiglist has been changed to"...and my current email. I know there is a big scam going around with this, but the link was actually valid. Thing is I never had setup an account with CL before. So I jump on CL and hit the forgot password button, minutes later I am resetting the password on someones hacked account. found a whole bunch of obvious scam listings, all the text was embeded in an image, like this one.. http://i54.tinypic.com/34ytr3o.jpg So I went and deleted them all. Looking at the history it was some guys acct nearby that got hacked, and they started posting all sorts of scams on the acct. No idea why they changed the email to mine though. I am pretty sure I know the guy who got hacked, his email is one additional letter but otherwise the same, I get his email all the time.... truck was listed for $2200, BTW, but ill take $2000 for it.
