I assume that promotion is rampant on this, but my brother released an album a year or so ago. He's in the Toronto area playing gigs. His name is TK Dallman, but he's now playing under the name 'Stone Orchard'

You can download his album here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ilwn4x658hlcrkg

Also you can see him playing some stuff live (4 instruments at once) here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liFYBZou-8s

More stuff here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/tkdallman#p/a/u/0/hQKwiY6HMUY

He authorized for me to post up his music, as he just wants to get it out anyway possible.

Enjoy.

I just put out a new release on http://urbster1.bandcamp.com which I (mostly) completed for the RPM Challenge. Here is what BabyJaneHudson has to say about it:

quote:

urbster1: I listened to about half of your album, and I'm considering buying it. I was immediately enthralled- it has this zany sophistication, and the sheer enormity of textures you manage to include (especially at the end of "problem solved") is impressive. My only qualm so far is about the wah-wah sounds in the middle part of "problem solved-" some of the notes are louder than everything else, and it was a little distracting. Otherwise I would say this is my personal favorite goon album from what I've checked out so far.

Here's the first track I put together using Magix.
http://www.muziboo.com/Andrewrfacebook/music/electro/

I have no idea how to make music so my inital intention was to make a song with tonnes of bass that I could play in my car and wake the street up, but I ended up making it much more subdued and played around with some nice loops I found, mainly because it was more fun than some droney stuff. Hope someone likes it. None of my faily did.

Electronic music by the artist called SPANKiNZ. Some of the slunkyest freshness, including one original song and a remix of a song from the new Tron soundtrack. Do me a favor and vote for SPANKiNZ in the contest.
Also some "luvstep" by other independent producers from Montana.

Hey I heard you guys like free music so I got this free EP to distribute from my friends at A Better Hell to you!

For reference, this is a fairly small two piece local band, with my friend Jordan Condery as lead vocals and second guitar, and his friend Danny Hinshaw as first guitar. Then they do random instruments just for recording.

To anybody who likes Dog Fashion Disco, they just did a song, Larva White ( http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_8587028 ), with Todd Smith providing guest vocals.

Criticism is welcome and encouraged guys, but if you enjoy Southern Rock, this is fantastic.

Just when you think that there's nobody around to kill you, BOOM, remote controlled Panzerfaust outta nowhere.
There's no music up for download, but it doesn't look like anyone has linked Smalls Jazz Club yet. They're a jazz club in Greenwich Village, and almost every evening from 7:30 PM to 3:30 AM EST they broadcast all their sets for the night live on their website. They also have a large assortment of prior performances archived for people to stream. It doesn't quite fit the definition of "free mp3s" but I think it's close enough to qualify for this thread.

So from now until July 14th my band, Ashpool has a page where you can download our Subtitles in Stereo EP for free. There are 5 songs, previously only available on iTunes or Amazon and probably our best recording effort ever.
http://ashpoolmusic.com/indexdl.html
There's links to other free mp3s on that page but Subtitles in Stereo hasn't been available for free before. Just click each song and save to disk.

If you're wondering what it sounds like, it's all instrumental and ranges from mellow trance to fun groove to all out time signature flipping weirdness, you can't can't go wrong with free so check it out.
Here's what Expose Magazine had to say about Ashpool:
"a raw post-punk meets 80's Crimsoid dissonance blended with elements of jazz and free-metal"
