I learned this neet trick the other day... When playing 33rpm records hold one finger on the 33rpm button, and quickly tap the 45rpm button with the other. Takes a few tries to get the hang of it, but it's very smooth if you get it. Of coarse you still need to adjust the pitch afterwards.

I always liked this one although I hardly ever use it. Of course, this trick only works for nudging forward (or nudging backwards if you're going 45->33)

I think using the pitch slider is in general a good policy since it works with any brand of turntable and any brand of CDJ.

Touching the platter is something that you have to do differently if you end up playing on different turntables than what you're used to (which will happen more often now that Technics is winding down)

Is this thread chill for dropping remixes (not a mash-up)? I generally don't do the DJ thing (I mainly focus on original production and engineering), but I heard a song on a comedy show the other day that was just begging to be cut up. It's my first shot at seeing a remix through to the end, 'cause the source material was inspirational and drat near perfect for chopping.

If that's kosher for this thread I'll post up the next version I render down, probably tonight or tomorrow evening.

Is it a house or electro song? put it in the House/electro whatever thread!

I suppose it does count as one of those... I am anxious to get feedback from DJ's especially though, as I'm curious to know if its anywhere near the level something needs to be to get playtime on a set-list. I've posted a link to it in the House/Electro megathread, and in the Post Your Sketches, if anyone wants to take a look. On the flip side, if any of y'all think it might be set-worthy, I'd love to provide some DJ's with a copy of it.

It's a remix of WKUK's Old Folks Home song, and is rife with drug references and a pounding beat -- seems to me like it would be pretty well received in a party/club setting. If you SA-DJ's could take a look specifically I'd appreciate it, this is your territory. Thanks fellas.

what is rhoombahton I'm intrigued.

Is it samples of roombas spliced with reggaeton? Count me in

This is great, will d/l and give it a few spins for sure.

Not too dissimilar from my own most recent effort, bit more on the deep side than techy though. If anyone has the time to have a listen and give any positive/neutral/negative feedback it would be appreciated.
