new Flocka and Bricksquad tapes dropped this week. They're both alright, but not too many really memorable tracks. Clap and Ball from Flocka (plus Grove St. Party) and Recently by Gucci and 50 Cent (he's doing adverbs now!!) are good though. Someone I know from high school has been that "whit guy who raps" from the Minnesota suburbs for a loooong time. His facebook posts are hilariously bad and always entertaining, but now he is starting to spam people with his new video. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it and the name calling battle in the comments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlLNjH0ZU7w To his credit, he's been doing what he loves for a long time now I guess.

And like the other poster said it's a lot of them blowing each other. That video was pretty cool though it reminds you how many legendary people Dre's brushed shoulders with. He's also pretty built now. Also there's so much gay product placement in that video.

I liked Dre's verse way more than Eminem's...the song kind of reminded me of Forgot About Dre, with the theme of how he's still working on making something amazing while everybody's just walked away from him. Why did he go to Eazy-E's grave at the end of the video, though? Maybe I'm missing something, but post-NWA, what did Eazy ever do that was worthwhile, other than get dissed on The Chronic?

I have a question for the hip hop terminology-savvy guys here. In the video below this guy goes into a rhyme scheme at 1:19 and raps his last 4 lines in the same pattern (e.g., everyday/ passionate way/ elaborate way). I've been calling this wordplay but I think I'm wrong so what is it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPQOocpX2UE

This old NOE track (Byrd Gang affiliate) got me thinking, did Cam invent finishing your bars with the sample in the beat? Starting with Oh Boy, all the examples that spring to my mind are dipset related but I might just have some selection bias going on.
