I remember hearing that if they don't catch you, they can't really grab you (especially if you don't have a license plate attached when escaping). They have to catch you on the spot. You're off the hook if the same cops see you two hours later at a diner somewhere (and this time you have a license plate!). This is probably not true at all. Swegoons confim or deny or clarify this for me? EDIT: In Finland they can basically get you on suspicion alone. (not really but many new drivers who like to speed don't know that)

I'm guessing the red E36 started spinning at the turn-in (where the camera car got a bit woobly), ended up going through the grass backwards, didn't even touch the brakes, and whammo. I can imagine the panic of spinning off a high-speed straightaway like that, but that was some pretty piss-poor judgment on the driver's part. I hope he caught some serious heat for that.
