Part of the joke was that Agent Zero wasn't necessarily a real movie, just indicative Kramer's utter inability to recognize dialtones by ear despite attempting to mimic moviefone programming. A-Z is just one of the most extreme, zany guesses possible.

Seinfeld was the top show ever in Australia.. ever. Everyone knows what it is and has at least seen one episode.

Also George watches and cries over home alone.

Keep in mind that the U.S. exports a lot more media than it imports, and has for decades, as well as the fact that the U.S. tends to remake or "translate" foreign works at a higher rate than other countries (by "translate," I mean English to English changes like rewriting Harry Potter to have sweaters and Sorceror's Stones instead of jumpers and Philosopher's Stones, etc.) As a result of this, and the U.S.'s role on the world stage in general, U.S. humour tends to cross borders better because the context isn't as specialist. People outside the U.S. are generally more familiar with U.S. politics, society, and pop culture than Americans are with politics, society, and pop culture abroad.

For instance, when I first watched the show, I had never heard of Bosco before, and I didn't know that Joel Rifkin or George Steinbrenner were real people, but those episodes didn't really require that prior knowledge to be funny. But Superman and Star Trek and JFK, and gym culture and Moviefone and New York (TV) culture were pre-existing exports.

My friend did this by singing over just the "George" part of the Seinfeld version with his own name. It was pretty bad/funny.

I don't remember catching it in the UK but I've heard that in Germany they replaced it with reruns of Hogans Heros because the humour didn't translate at all. I suppose it doesn't help that Germany dubs just about everything. I wonder how it sounded to them?

Yeah this conversation thread died awhile ago, but whatever. You guys forgot about...

ELAINE: Hey, Kramer, listen, you've seen The Omen right?

ELAINE: What exactly was that kid?

KRAMER: Who, Damien? Nothing, just a mischievous, rambunctious kid.

Kramer's confident delivery of there being nothing out of the ordinary about Damien just kills me.
