I still don't see why I should buy anything there. It's just more expesive than zero" or boomkat. I know they have some exclusive tracks. But all in music genres I could care less about.
Beta looks nice though.

on another note,
I was gonna try dj-ing again the old school way. Bought mkIIs from my cousin, and ordered a mixer online (second hand, a rare valve amp thing they don't make anymore). The mixer got lost in the mail. They finally delivered it today. It was badly damaged and not sure if there's any insurance on it.
That will teach me trying to dj again I guess.

It will take some getting used to. I got to play with the alpha a bit (one of the benefits of being a former employee I suppose) and was definitely excited for the final product.

As soon as they get the hold bins ported over I'm done with the flash site for good.

A few things I know I need to work on:
- Track selection - definitely didn't know I had this much repeat material thanks to lovely mp3 labeling on my part. also need to work on not using poo poo from 2+ years ago.
- Mixing/transitions - I use the same sort of transition a lot, and it works occasionally but sounds kind of cluttered and ugly when it doesn't.
- Drums - kind of a key part of the mix. The drum part is pretty much the same the whole time, once I get a better interface to trigger different patterns this will be easier to fix.

Also, are the drums (especially the hi hats) too loud in general? I feel like they might be drowning out the mix
I'm not the most qualified person to be giving feedback since I just started DJ this year as well, but I feel like this thread needs more of it.

Track selection: can't really comment as I'm not familiar with this genre.

The mixing is clean and smooth except for clashing drum patterns for a bit during the transitions around 28:20 (A Milli -> DANCE) and ~51:40.

What were you going for with the drum loop throughout the mix? I feel it takes away from the break downs/build ups that are built into some of the tracks. It makes them less dramatic. The consistent sound/beat throughout most of the mix and taming of the breaks/builds also makes most of the mix seem stagnant to me...it doesn't go anywhere. If that's what you were going for, you nailed it, but from a listener/dancers perspective, I'm really looking for ups and downs and/or a slow build throughout the mix.

Hope this helps! I left some love on your cloud as well :D

I don't think so, but I usually just dump my Serato playlist history when I upload. The tracklist might just play in to how many random listens you get of your mixes.

I think it requires you to enter at least 10 tracks or something... probably has to do with covering their asses on the licensing front (preventing them from being an on-demand streaming service)

The reason I ask is because I've got a big folder full of mixes that I could upload but I just don't have tracklists compiled for most of them. It'd be a pretty big pain in the rear end to have to go through and find each and every track.

Where did you learn to drive?
It's finals week, which means I should have studied this afternoon... but I don't have an exam until Thursday afternoon, so I made this instead. I missed editing one song to make it expletive-free so I can play it at work, and the tempo changes sound too harsh upon playback, but I could certainly use more constructive criticism than that. The mix starts out with house, then progresses to trance, with a surprise pop ending. Play time comes in at just under an hour.

Tracklist:
01. The Chemical Brothers - Shake Break Bounce
02. Christian Falero - Think About Me (Chris Moody Remix)
03. Gregor Wagner - Talking About House (Abel Ramos Meerbusch with Love Mix)
04. Sidekick - Kick The Small (Do You Remember Me Original Mix)
05. Studio Apartment - I Want U 2 Move (Club Mix)
06. Sidney Samson - Riverside (Dirty Extended Mix)
07. Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane
08. Freemasons - I Feel Like
09. Armin Van Buuren - Unforgivable

14. Armin Van Buuren - Going Wrong
15. Oceanlab - On A Good Day (Gareth Emery Extended Mix)
16. Sunstroke Project and Olia Tira - Run Away

Edit: fixed the expletive, messed with the tempo changes so they're not quite as extreme
