The car's almost 11 years old, that does affect the price a bit.

The graphics are painted on, rather than being rendered in vinyl, which means this Jeep's look is there to stay. Even the complicated and expensive light bar is functional.

MY CAAR IS STRONG YOU BUY YES? IT HAS ROOFIF Seeing that Jurassic Park jeep reminds me of college over a decade ago in Plattsburgh NY. Somebody up there had a minivan all decked out in a JP paint job they just toodled around town in. I assume they must have won it in a contest of some sort. Even then it was already looking a little worse for wear.

I've been looking for a beater for awhile now. Stumbled upon a 93 Accord Wagon with 300k. Has typical honda rust and for 600 seems high. They're in a pinch and will let it go for 250. Is scrapping the car worth more than that?
|
# ? May 31, 2011 20:24 |
|
In my area pick-n-pull gives you $200 or $300 for the car. If you think the Accord will last for a while then it'd be worth it.

I just got $500 USD for a '94 accord coupe. $550 if I would have delivered it instead of had them tow it. This was from U-Pull-N-Pay. There are a lot of accords still on the road so the parts (in their eyes) are desirable.

What I can tell from that pic: It needs a bit more than fuses, and looks like a V6, so it probably has killed the radiator, and this guy figured he'd have a quick flip - only to find what a bitch the oil cooler is to get to. I laughed when I scrolled down to see the pictures.

Yes, that's a drawback of the Panhard rod, which is why Panhard rod suspensions need longitudinal links to help limit the lateral movement, and are typically used on larger vehicles where the rod length is greater.

I've never seen a Panhard rod on a vehicle with leaf springs, because leaf springs are supposed to control lateral movement of the rear axle, but I suppose that's because only trucks use leaf springs nowadays and handling isn't the highest priority on a truck. Maybe there were cars from before I was born that used both together. Is it common for people with leaf spring trucks to install Panhard rods as a handling upgrade? I don't know whether that is a function of their starting price, collectibility, or just insane owners. Late 80s, early 90s Esprits are routinely listed for 20-30, depending on condition. If this '83 is in as good shape as it looks, 15k is not an unreasonable starting price. (It's craigslist.
