magda, make the tea
Anyone heading over to exit festival next week?

I'm so excited :3:
The lineup is nowhere near as good as it's been in the past but theres now a steady stream of people I want to see instead of constant clashes and having to run around to see half an hour bits of sets.

If you've never heard of it, it's a great big fuckoff rave with 20+ stages in an old fortress in the middle of serbia, which runs from 8pm until 8am for 4 days.

If anyone hasn't checked it out yet, Above & Beyond were this last weeks Essential Mix and they absolutely destroyed it. I apologize for turning into a A&B homer, but I highly highly recommend checking it out. This one has to be in the discussion of EM of the year.

Maybe I'm easy to please, but both times I've seen A&B live (once in a medium sized venue, once at a massive) they've killed it. Great mixing, and they know how to interact with a crowd well. I've dug their previous EM's, and I'm in the process of acquiring this one. I haven't listened to the new Essential Mixes in awhile, now that I think of it. DJ Shadow / Simian Mobile Disco / Fake blood / Some Talentless Douche were on a couple weeks ago, I'm going to have to check that one out too.

This is pretty accurate. It's all dubstep this year but it's still a bunch of dirty junglists and ravers who are stuck in the early 2000's. I'm assuming there will be more bros and hipsters this year because of the dubstep.

We're glad you could play SQIV. As usual, you've been a real pantload.
Thanks for posting that Radio Soulwax link, it's quite impressive the work they put into that. Their BBC Essential Mix still ranks as my top favorite, with the Rob Da Bank/Cuban Brothers Essential Mix as #2.

I've been listening to a lot of Felguk, Neelix, and Fukkk Offf recently, I really like the hard-hitting deep electro sound. A couple examples of my favorites are

Taxi Driver by Neelix

Black Phantom by Fukkk Offf

Can anyone recommend some additional music similar to the above so I can add to my Grooveshark playlist?

Hey guys, I posted a couple pages ago about this new artist, Madeon, but did not get any feedback. Was hoping to hear what you all think of him. The stuff he has put out is pretty impressive for someone so young.

I apologize if he has been discussed already, but I've been following the thread for a while and haven't seen anything about him.

This is a live mashup he does of a bunch of songs using a launchpad and ableton live, very impressive.

not what i expected from nadastrom but its a neat sound and has a nice groove. Their other songs are usually really intense, huge drops and tension, but this not at all.

tbh I expected some more tropical bass since its summertime.
