Inside:

I hate this desk. It's too drat big, really, all the top unit does is collect a shitton of dust. Would like to replace it with a Galant, but holy poo poo that's expensive for something that doesn't come with drawers :sigh:

Outside:

Pretty nice when it's not a billion degrees. Summer in Georgia :allears:

What is the size of that Galant Desk you are using to support this?

There's only really one size Galant that I know of, so that one. I do have the optional extension though:

Pretty much depends where you grew up I reckon. For me it's the exact opposite since in a country that's warm all year round no one carpets their floors.

Looks like you'd do well with a bit more vertical storage, hang some wall shelves (ikea is cheap, theres plenty of nicer ones) over your bed and the desk. There are stud-hanging metal shelf systems, or even floor to ceiling adjustable solutions from ikea (broder).

The hole-riddled grid is called perf board, although its usually used for hanging tools not electronics, it can trap heat. Better yet is to hang or nail a piece to the wall behind your desk, under it, and attach everything there. Your steel/glass desk isn't conducive to the old "zip tie everything and affix to the bottom of your desk" solution.

Here's my current setup until I get a desk. I threw out my last CRT during a move, so I need a monitor (or two) hence using my tv.

I just setup that box on the right so I can throw things on it from my laptop and stream them on my ps3, so far so good!

And if you look a little further left, you'll see this guy:

There's a couch I pushed back to take the photos. But living in a studio apartment makes me really think twice before bringing furniture home haha

I think it's actually because of the knob on the window frame which looks like a doorknob..

At first I thought you guys were talking about that little keyboard propped against the wall, and then I finally noticed the super tiny PIANO and burst out laughing.

edit: You should have that tiny piano right next to the arcade cabinet at all times for when guests come over.

Just got a new chair to replace the old one I had for about 7 years. Much nicer, next I think I'll update my dual monitor setup to actually have two monitors of the same size (the small one I've had since high school).
